Six weeks and they’ll be finished if they’re fast.
But you can also leave the jar sitting around for a very long time with these and have no problems. I got a full canopy from a jar that was fully colonized for months and had grown a mycelium skin covering over the grain.

Thanks - I’ll think I’ll just spawn them now, assuming they’re ready (three weeks since inoculation).

So, since I have 4 shoeboxes close to ready for casing, I decided to attempt to set up a fruiting tote in case I wasn't able to dial my tent in. I started with a standard EZ dial and put a couple inches water in the bottom and an air-stone. I can not seem to get the humidity inside the tote above 70% and I hardly see any condensation on the inside. Even with ALL the holes taped up. Now I don't have any shoeboxes inside to add to the humidity yet either since it's a test, so this may be an issue. RH in the room stays below 50% due to it also being a weed grow room and AC runs constantly.
Any suggestions or just keep working on dialing in the tent?

shoeboxes? run them unmodified, maybe unlatch when they start pinning, dubtubbed once they get bigger. nothing to be dialed in .. at all.

The same genetics on coir only substrate - short and thin:

And the same on coir + straw + manure - short but thick:

As you see it depends a lot on substrate nutrition!
Thinking about this, I had the biggest fruits and giant caps from brfcake / straw 50/50 ratio as elpico uses for his zaps. Coir, gave me normal sized fruits.

Adding straw/manure/grass/wood improves nutrition variaties and richness. So it gives larger fruit bodies. Also they are curling up minimum and give exelent prints

Last night I looked at my Semp tub which I spawned on 13th October and was wondering when it finally makes a move. Nothing much but a more white spot in the middle of the substrate which I thought was going to bloom green at first but is not doing much for days.

This morning though I just stared at my tubs thinking of some other stuff when a few white specks on the side of the sub caught my eye........seems like we do have some side pinning going after 18 days. Probably have missed them for a day or two.
First pins of the season with a new species
I ran this unmodified tub as I do with pans, fruited at spawn with lots of FAE and no casing or misting till first knots. Looks like they don't like it as much so I misted generously and reduced FAE and will take notes for the next run.
That was a nice dopamine boost in the morning.

Don't worry about the white spot. I've seen it a couple times on my semps. IIRC that was where my first pins showed up. I can't find any pictures of mine too back that up though. My tub went 5 months before it got the green.

Cover layer coir/cacti soil 50/50 is very recommended. I used it all the time and it gives good pinning density.
