6 days from pins! Jeez they're huge already.

Still slower than last time at about 20 days from pins to harvest from a 2nd flush clone of the fast lineage.
Kind of wondering if continuing to take clones from the second flush will slow them down more and if that would effect potency. Pure conjecture.
I tried a 1 gram tea the other day. Didn't quite finish the tea and I was definitely feeling it. It was mostly a pleasant body high but always felt totally in control head space. Hoping a higher dose will be more like the experiences others rave about.
20 days from pins to harvest doesn't surprise me. At what T° are they growing?
With the fast lineage, 1 gram isn't much for me and some others - 0.5 grams increases should be the way to go for you to find out your dosage; but then slow down at the 2.5 mark.

Yeah I have the fast ones and honestly they’re pretty much on par with cubes as far as potency. Trip is different but potency about the same.

This is the first thread I look for whenever I check in. Sometimes I think it’s as slow as the semps. I’ll post a pic of my progress in a bit, but it’s not much. Just some pins and a few early risers.

Well it should be slow. I'm still waiting for pins, 30 days after spawning.

I’m jealous of some of the nice pinsets you guys get. Mine start like this, just a few scattered pins, one or two early fruit, then they just keep coming.

Chris this response is a blessing. I'm migrating over from reddit which is an absolute desert for any info related to semperviva. Thanks for this high quality post I just cased my first shoebox and am excited to have some pretty pins to post here soon!

Last flush of Ambrose Subs. IIRC this was 4g dry or so. Harvested around a month ago but only now posting pics. I threw out the substrate after that.
Again, very very sporeless.

The caps you guys are getting make me jealous I'm gonna try a fruiting chamber.
The slower tub w/deformed fruits is getting tossed. Day 49 & I've noticed a patch of green. Probably why it took so long & why it's so ugly. The other tubs from this ms run are speedy
  Day 21 for both of these. #1 is 2:1 w/no casing. #2 is 4:1 & cased w/verm around 95% colonization

There are a lot of pretty grows recently, so it's time to post some OOGLY boyz.

Smaller pins are growing this way too. I don't know what's the reason for the weird form, it was cased with an experimental casing (coir, peat, perlite, verm), and a year old spawn comes from an even older clone.
Also not so ugly little fellows were collected at this stage, it's a different culture, slow as well:

All spawned from the same jar, and everything was done simultaneously and the same way (spawning to coir) except one was cased with peat and other two with verm.

Hi all, got a question here.. got 15 plates of subtropicalis going..T1, 13 show uniform growth, apart from 2. There seem to be some 'holes' or less dense mycelium at some sports.. I wondered "what is this". I have never seen this in the past few years so I thought I would share (added a picture compared with a normal plate).

well, i am really not sure, but given it's 2 out of 15 and that the mycelium looks "weak" in some areas, as though it couldn't properly develop, leads me to think there could be some contamination. are these nopours??

These are no-pours correct (aliens holy agar plates). The agar shouldn't be the source of contamination, I never had a contaminant prepping them. Apart from that every plate has been sitting, doing nothing for a week (part of my procedure) prior to use. T0 was water agar.. I usually don't get contaminants riding along.. but apparently something looks off here.. so maybe I made a boo boo there (too close to the center of germination).

It’s hard to see there, but sometimes patchy plates are from mites eating the mycelium.
Or could be a mold in there too.
