Love it when that happens!
Technically you don't get 100% extraction or recovery of "solvent" so you may have ingested less than you think. Maybe just some kick butt genetics!

No I #$&@+-up, as I had kids running around and girlfriend asking 'when are we going to eat' I was distracted/time pressure and added the agar during the tea making process.. yes, right away I realized my mistake and decided to just wing it. So I squeezed the juice of out the fruiting bodies. Well agar set all over my fingers.. ofcourse I'm not wasting a drop so gobbled it up just to taste it.. but 1ml already contains a mini-dose hehe.. so yeah gummy failure, but had a great time.. could barely keep my pokerface.
But, I I feel the tea tastes too much like mush to my liking so I'll make some potent tea from fresh in the future and try again (ofcourse without @#_&-ing it all up)

Here's where the USDA Zones map of Mexico came from, this would mean semperviva survives down to basically 0C but maybe call it the 4.4-7.2C range (still much cooler than I'd expect: https://www.plantmaps.com/interactive-mexico-plant-hardiness-zone-map-celsius.php
Mexico City is in the 10a zone, so they will survive occasional freezing temps it seems, or close to freezing.

You gotta get some jello instead of agar, I’m sure it tastes a million times better. I had 2ml gummies with 1.75g in each and couldn’t taste a thing.
Lately I’m pretty into the starburst/skittles/jolly ranchers jellos. Especially the sours.

To me Adas summed it up best. I can't find it again but basically there appears to be 2 different lineages:
- Crazy slow to pin and potent as fuck - as in ~1 gram and you're at level 5.
- Fast to pin and less potent - as in ~2.8 gram and you're at level 5.

Yeah, I solely eat plant-based, so no gelatin here. But, using fresh mushrooms already makes a big difference. I made icecubes with the same potency without additives. And it tastes good as it is, no need to cover up the flavor. But I'll try again in the future, using some mint from the garden and a lime, see if we can make some natural mojito flavored candy. To be continued!

I guess I have the faster less potent one. Oh well, I have them and that's what counts. I can always eat more.

Oh fucking yes yes yes. My first lil semp pin. A side pin but still.
And the only other evidence of pinning is this other tiny knot.
Is there anything I need to be careful of regarding surface conditions? Should I be keeping it wetter than I would cubes?

My experience is that they actually pin better when they're a little on the dry side, if anything. But ultimately, I don't think they're that picky about surface conditions.

looks like the contest is over.. checking today (4 days after the initial pic).. surprise surprise
which means... drumroll THE WINNER IS A.K.A (6 days) Congratulations;)
i will get back to you for your address.

4 days... oh wow (they were spawned 27 days ago) i got the ultra-fast line obviously..
this mean they are potentially less potent if I understand it correctly? well. that shouldn't be a problem. as long as they carry the characteristics described with semperviva..
they are in a shoebox, should i give plenty of fae (flipped) or just leave it unlatched?
thanks everybody. happy day

I'm not sure about the "ultra-fast" part. I get pins 14 days after spawn when temperatures are around ~20°C.

Yeah mine pinned also like really fast, but then they get reaaaaaaaly slow ^^

they were spawned on the 24th March, cased a weak later and two weeks after that started to pin. More Pins are showing over time, but they seem to be small and fat ^^

my temps qre around 21-24 C so they are slow after all .. which means they might take ages to grow and mature i guess .. well, no hurry. more and more knots showing up. happy

Ah yes, at this temperature I would think they are slow - so be careful with your dosage once you'll be able to sample them My fastest pins-to-prints time is 21 days. I don't know (yet) about the "slow" lineage.

I was thinking of trying some of these today. All this talk of potency makes me wonder if I need to be conservative with my dosing.

shruglife got his print from me and took 26 grams fresh for the first time. I took 27 grams fresh my first time (couldn't have taken more, that was a very strong dose) - took 2.7 grams dried 2 weeks ago (that wasn't as strong as 27 grams fresh) had a blast. Once I took 2.2 grams dried - barely had any visuals. I weigh 86 kg/190 lbs athletic build - and I usually need more than most people.
Hope this will help you a bit

Yeah just like pans, fresh hits way different with these. I'm on about 4 months now and just seeing knots. Same lineage.
Got adas and mine back on grain and probably going right to ground. Last year no outdoor fruits but this year trying some hoop tunnels and irrigation. There's myc running where my mexi/semp bed was but woodies are close enough and assholes.
