First who comes to mind is Sirpsycho. He has some fantastic photos! If you get tips from him, share them here too

hello friends i have applied casing layers of 5050 verm/coir yesterday. about 8mm thick. and i have slightly compressed it by hand. was it a good idea or should i have just left it loosely spread?

When I apply cactus soil as a casing, I slightly compress it by hand. So I don't think it should be a problem.

I'd say Roscoe and yourself have done just as well. Plus my recent attempts have been trash.

I tried a dry gram of these last night and all I can say is wow! I initially grew Natalensis for the "less dark" quality to the trip since cubes could get a little dark and not fun. The visuals really suck with nats, in my experience, but they do feel better mentally and physically. I was disappointed to say the least. I heard Semperviva would give a sort of safe guided trip like Natalensis but with great visuals, so I decided to try them. I'm not disappointed at all. I could have probably gone with a half gram to .75g more but I was good where I was for a test run. I tried a gram before with an immature mushroom and it wasn't anything like these that I let mature. So, if you want potency, yes you need to let them mature and darken. I think I have my favorite shroom. I'll try these again at higher dosages before I commit fully to just growing these.
Detailed trip report is here.

Very kind of you, but I've never done bottle grows. I mean, I've cased fully colonized rye jars of Semp with success - but never a proper Muda Bottle grow... YET!
I've prepped and PC'ed some today, will inoculate them tomorrow evening with Semp and Mex. A. I'm excited for that (along with moving Shiitake to woodchips too)
And true, Roscoe has posted fantastic bottle grows too here recently

Jars recovering well after shake. This is 48 hours post shake.
have 6 jars like this, two 1kg grain bags (not shaken yet) And two smaller 0.5 kg grain bags. Also not shaken. Sums to around 7 kg grains. All going fast and well so far. Am so excited, gonna use the rest of my LC to inoculate 3 more 1kg bags, and 5 more jars in a few hours.
That'll be ~14 kg total spawn. Still can't feel it's enough. Greeeeeed has overcome my soul.

It’s an uncased spore grow from a t1 plate.
It pinned around two weeks in, and that was two weeks ago so the tub is about a month old.

All three cased simultaneously, two with verm casing are stalling, the peat one looks pretty damn good, the best knotting I have had yet. One thing with this particular peat though - my other boxes, bigger than these, mostly caught some mold, green or white. Coir cased ones are stalling mostly. Thinking on casing with verm+horse manure as well, though it sounds a bit sketchy
(nevermind the top left one, it's where I took a large sclerotia from)
