I think it's set and setting. Dried ones should work just as well.

ะกould you please share the recipe of your tea for ice cubes? Brew in warm water for 20 minutes, soak, squeeze, freeze? I prefer fresh as well, and ice cubes appeal to me better than fermenting. For me fresh mushrooms always hit different, and I don't think it's setting tbh. Also I myself tried alcohol extraction from fresh mushrooms. It's been lingering in 95% alcohol for some time and I will later evaporate the solution and try for effect.

I followed what PrimalSoup shared a long time ago, pretty straightforward: - add some water to a pot (I used a 150ml for the small amount I had, was aiming for 2,5gr wet weight per cube, 1cube is slightly less than 10ml for the shape I used) - add 2% citric acid by mush weight (I used a bit more for good measure) - chop the mushrooms quickly (I made small bits < 1cm) - add them to the pot and bring to a boil, stir and mash with potato masher in the meantime - boil 1 min while mashing - gass of, off the stove with lid on, steep 15min - filter and squeeze all the goodies out with nutmilk bag.. toss the fruitbodies.
I placed it in the refrigerator and made the icecubes the next day.

So, I read the first page of the thread and the Alan Rockefeller origin story. Are there prints floating around of the Ps. Hoogshagenii (not Semperviva)? Sounded like it might be rare.
A.K.A what is that a photo of?

Hm, I must admit I was in a poor mental state. Had a really frustrating day at work, after getting home I was still annoyed and continued work. Also home was a mess so setting wasn't helping either.
But yeah, who knows, I just know I like it thought it might be something worth sharing. Normally I'm a bit fogged on a mini-dose (do something, but the mind is somewhere else).. also the gentleness was welcome compared to normally the 'ah there it is' feeling.
I've been doing small doses for a while now, pas 2 - 3 years (cubes), and this is the first really nice one at least, a new feeling.. from all the doses I had tried before. I don't know either.. maybe a subtropicalis trait v.s. standard cube

Thatโs mycelium from a jar that sat fully colonized for a few months. It made a skin around the grain so I peeled it off and spawned the wbs. Looks like itโs knotting less than two weeks in which also happened the first time I ran semp.

Looking forward to your report, A.K.A. On a related note, I want to try the mycilated<sp> grain too.
Pre final shake. 60 days since inoc.
Immediately post shake
An hour after shake. Getting pretty blue.
Pre dehydration (just the one quart, left the others to continue to age)
Post dehydration
Now it is in a vacuum sealed jar awaiting trial. Hoping to get a chance this weekend.

These have taken months to fruit. You can see the dates they were spawned. The end of sept/beginning of oct

The fruit are gnarly and dont look like the normal pretty fruit. Think maybe it was because my substrate was too wet at spawn. Led to a long time to fruit

Semperviva cased with coir, verm, and 50:50 peat/verm with hydrated lime. The 50:50 jars are about a week behind, but so far these seem to like the verm casing best.

You mean the best setup is straight verm cased grain? I've just cased couple of jars with pasteurized peat moss. Looks like I should've done it with verm! Anyway, my next take will be casing 100% colonized boxes with cactus soil, following Melgo's advice.

Not cased grain. These are Muda bottles. Bottles of substrate and a bit of grain sterilized in the PC. I inoculate with LC and when colonized completely take off the lid, case, and put in a tub. These were bottles of horse manure, straw, verm, and a little wheat.
