thank you, it actually does look similar to my jar, a bit whispy and "uneven". different than the Cubensis mycelium i have seen so far. this is my first time. obviously.

I have not successfully grown these out yet, but I do have a pin or two in my shoebox that looks promising along with a few blobby looking spots. The jar in the pic is my newest attempt with properly sterilized grains. I'm hoping to have better results with this jar. Mine did look like 0t0lerance's before the shake.

Hello, my good sirs. I've been missing lately, I had to leave home for a few months. I'd left some of my tubs and muda bottles running. Some just rotted away bc they fruited and fruits weren't picked up, some stalled as they did before, some died to some weird orange slime. None to trich though. One tub though presented me a nice small flush of chonky goblins, the top surface had no pins, but there were some at the bottom, maybe several grams dry. I've collected those, let the cake sit in water for a dozen+ hours and turned it around, it's been 10 days since and some of the pins that were just hatching grew to be pretty cute.

I hope I'll manage to get few decent prints in a week or so, and if not, I'm cloning the biggest boi anyway. Printing previous time didn't turn out to be good, even though stipes were dark etc.
I also hope some of my new small trays will pin quicker than all of my previous experiences. I had few g2g jars which I nocced with a spore syringe colonized jar. Now they're mixed with coco and colonizing.
The tub on the photo was s2b'ed on 26 nov, g2g was done 21 oct, first pins date is unknown, but as I picked fruits on first days of March, I considered they could take some more time, I just wanted to rearrange the cake and decided to pick them. So, we can estimate 3 months roughly from s2b to first flush, which is meh. Considering the outcome, it's even more meh, I watch all those amazing canopies grown in weeks by you guys, and it warms my heart.

By the way, Is there any fresh consensus on growing subtrops? I didn't follow the discussion all these months, so maybe there is some breakthrough? I just don't have the nerve to read through few dozens of pages right now.
For now I'm going to treat them just like cubes - 1:2 or 1:3 grain:coco ratio, with coco top layer right at s2b.

I don't know if it's a consensus, but quite a few of us have much better success with pinning time when prepping the substrate on the dry side. Have a look at my signature if you have time.

Thank you, it helped a lot, as well as other grows you referenced to. Trying the dry side of the sub in a couple of days

The print was sold to me as a wild collection called Xico, so probably. The fruits are quite fat and will not produce spores for me, despite how long the fruits have been growing and misting the caps heavily. Send good vibes my way!

Not the best flush but considering these are growing in a room temperature of about 16-17°C, I should probably not complain but rather work on my timing.. I left them to mature for a long time waiting for spore production, but when some nipples started turning a darker color, I decided to harvest them. Almost no spores dropped during printing, even though it's a clone culture from an old grow that did drop thick prints. Might try again when it's warmer.

I sent this jar to a shoebox today. It looked clean and smelled really good, hopefully it was clean. It did have a bit of condensation at the top but where the jar was fluctuates in temps a bit.
