does coir go bad / lose nutrients

couldnt find an answer for this on the forum, seems like everyone was asking about coir thats already been sterilized / pasteurized

would old dry bricks of coir from id say around 3-4 years ago be fine to use for substrate, or would i be better off just getting fresh bricks?

It has little to no nutritive value to begin with. I can't imagine it going bad from sitting on a shelf unless it got damp and stayed that way for a long time.

If you pasteurize your Coir with Verm mixed in, it should be a-ok.
