Why do I want to trip?

Well over a year ago I did my last fun trip (like the 5th or 6th time) which resulted in a 4 hour bout of psychosis where, in my head, I became the world's most evil person, yelling at the shower walls, trying to figure out how to do...bad things, to say the least. Got out scot free, fortunately. Note, I always tripped alone.
That put me off shrooms, dumped the growing boxes and dried fruits and everything. Over the next few months my psychology drifted and settled on some really weird sensuality stuff, but I really didn't like where it was leading. I also was packing up to move and I found a small capsule of shrooms I missed. So, as a course correction, I did one last trip. It was successful and my life is back on track.
Fast forward a year to today. I haven't thought about tripping or anything of the sort for 7 or 8 months now, but a few weeks ago I felt a sharp need to trip. It was very odd, and it has not gone away. It doesn't feel like I want to do it for fun or for course correction or to explore...it feels like I NEED it...which is super weird. Never before have I felt like this for a trip. The closest comparison I have is it feels like the need to get-off, that neediness, the tension that keeps building.
I do know what's up or why. Any advise, suggestions, whatever, I'd appreciate it. Should I go for another trip (like does the Golden teacher have another lesson for me)? Or is this something I need to just wait and it'll go away.
Thanks all

Do you think there was anything that brought about this feeling initially a few weeks ago? Have you or do you encounter other people who trip? Did you browse these forums before then?
If you don't want to do it for all those reasons you listed, then what are you hoping to get out of it?

I can't think of anything that sparked it. I know no one who trips (other than the people here). I haven't been on this forum for well over a year. It may have been sparked from laying down and watching the roof before I fell asleep the other day, looking at the roof while laying down was how I usually tripped.
My main reason for not wanting to is employment risks, all other detriments I believe I've learned how to avoid.
I don't really have anything I want to get out of it. I've been coming up with things I could get out of it (mostly helping my creative end) but these are just things I have been coming up with since the urge came about

Your soul, essence, being, whatever you want to call it, sparked it.
After my first trip, for two years, I didn't think about mushrooms at all. Then, out of nowhere, I felt such a strong urge to trip. There were no triggers, I wasn't a grower yet and I wasn't even a member here. (In fact, that calling brought me here to cultivate.)
There was nothing to prompt it on the surface. But deep down, I think I knew after that first trip that I've just found the lapis philosophorum.
Don't risk your employment if that really is an issue. Make sure you weigh the consequences properly if doing mushrooms is dangerous in some way to your social foundation(s). Otherwise, I'd personally not ignore the call from a transcendental structure of reality.

So many factors, it could be you don't really want to trip, (I kept having that realization, which led me to stop tripping) but are bored or somehow lacking but think a trip will be a magic reset button. Personally I really internalized a lot of questionable notions from Mckenna and the hippie attitude in general, about tripping being a central human activity and the core of inspiration and spirituality and all that, almost valuing it more than real life. I now think that was a naive and childish approach, mostly stemming from being an escapist and somewhat avoidant kind of person (which ironically psychedelics often sort out, but mostly through a swift kick in the ass)
or maybe you could benefit from the reset that psychedelics can be, and recognize that on some level. If you've had psychosis before that's cause for caution though (I know its pretty common around here, but irl everyone I know who's had a psychotic episode has steered away psychs ever since)

I would trust your gut feeling. There is something about your ethereal body that needs a psychedelic experience. Maybe you have taken a good break from psychedelics and it is time for you to explore your consciousness again.

I've tripped in my 20's with friends, for fun and discovery. I did it 5 or 6 times. Then went years without tripping, something like 15 years though I've always kept it in my mind as great moments. Last summer, my life was upside down, really hard times, and out of nowhere, I felt the call, in my bath, an epiphany, I can't explain it otherwise.
So I did trip this summer, a mild trip (2g dry), alone, nature, a tent, campfire, lots of introspection. It did me a lot of good and I felt refreshed and ready to face the problems with a new look. Haven't tripped (on shrooms, did a few LSD trips to see what it was all about) since, but I'm feeling the call once again, almost 6 months after, not for the same reasons as my life is far more enjoyable today. This is something I can't really understand, whatever explaination one might have. Hard to resist it for sure.
OP, can't tell you what you should do, especially regarding your work and the risks associated. Maybe find a middle ground, there are different levels of tripping as you know, but the most important thing to do may be to wait it out and try to understand why you feel that need.

Halloween was when I really needed to trip. I did 100μg. The energy of the full blue moon, stars and planets (you can see Mars, Jupiter and Saturn at night) was very intense. I woke up the next day refreshed and renewed.

It's Chameleon, bro! He was a secret character in Mortal Kombat Trilogy for the Playstation 1 LOL. He morphs between all the male ninjas, and is fittingly psychedelic in the process:
