Seattle Area ID Request

Hello,
First year hunting and first post, but I have been aware of Shroomery for some time. I have been looking for cyans exclusively because they seem so easy to ID that I figured I'd know them when I see them. Finally saw them! Sweet! I told myself I wouldn't be disappointed if I didn't find any actives this year and now I don't have to lie to myself. Went through photos on my phone after a few days out walking around and found an interesting one that didn't register with me as I was taking it.
Location is a somewhat manicured area within a bunch of apartment complexes within about 2 miles of 520, east of the lake. They are situated under douglas firs, understory is sparsely planted with natives. Lots of cedars around, but haven't found anything interesting under them. I took the picture, but didn't touch or harvest one because I guess I thought they looked like mycena or something. Going through photos on my phone and found this:

Sorry I don't have a shot of the gills or spore prints, but these look like actives to me based on the stems. Thanks for any help.

Psilocybe for sure, but which? I'm not sure. Very interesting looking fellas. I wonder if baeocystis ... Let's see what others think!

I'm going to agree with P. baeocystis. The specimen lying on it's size has the distinct undulating cap margin.

Thanks for the replies. I walked past the area a few days after I took that photo and there was a lady standing near them with scissors in her hand. I had scissors in my pocket and was thinking "I know what you're doing with those". She pretended to prune a sickly looking tall Oregon grape as I walked by. Awesome that she's using scissors on such a super exposed patch. No cover at all and people are drawn in close by what I think are death caps. I might try doing a slurry if the patches survive and a few make it to the rotten stage. There's tons of alder trees in the enhanced wetlands around me and creating a new patch somewhere would be cool. Anyway, I looked at some photos and I think P. baeocystis is most likely correct. These seem a bit stubby compared to the pics on Mushroom Observer, but maybe the grass dwellers just get leggier than the ones on wood chips.

Those look like galerina or tubaria to me. I see no bruising.

With some extra goodwill some of them in the centre of the picture appears to have shades of blue-green on the caps, but that could very well be the picture cheating. I'd say this single picture isn't sufficient for a safe identification, close up shots of stem and gills are required.
OP, if you can't provide more and better pictures you'd better toss these.

Thanks for the reply. These didn't jump out at me when I took the picture and I didn't actually touch or collect any of them. I'll check back again, but I'm pretty sure this patch isn't there anymore. I found a patch of cyans about 50 feet from these and forgot all about them until I looked closer at the pic. My spidey sense still says they're actives, but as a complete noob I'm not eating anything that doesn't bruise blue or drop purple spores.

OP, I need to apologize. I didn't look too carefully at the photo, and was focused on the fruitbody on it's side, which is not a great photo. The more I look at these, the less they look like a species of Psilocybe. They could even be a toxic Galerina, as Sk8nshram pointed out. Good quality photos and sporeprints if they flush again!

I've been out walking 10-20 miles a week and I'm seeing a lot of evidence that I'm not the only one in my area that's out hunting. I hope I'm more discreet than they are, but I left shroom carcasses in my wake early on too. I started tossing them way back into the bushes once I started seeing stuff like my picture above with a bunch pulled and left behind. Makes it almost as obvious as when you turn a corner and walk up on someone who's 30 feet off the path surrounded by blackberry and trying to look all innocent. I have been that person a few times.

No worries. I'll revive this thread if they flush again for sure. Definitely want to investigate these further.

This ^^^ or Hypholoma. Listen to Anglerfish or any TI rather than me, but if you need some pics to compare with...
Look up Galerina sideroides, Tubaria furfuracea, Hypholoma dispersum, Gymnopus dryophilus and related species from each genus.

I checked out a nearby patch again today and grabbed a cluster. I'm crazy busy right now and will post pics later. I'll go back and visit other clusters, but what I picked today looked pretty similar to the first photo and it is 100% NOT a psilocybe. Rusty brown spore print.

Probably Galerina or Tubaria then. If annulate then it could be Galerina marginata group. Did you happen to see if they had a ring AKA partial veil remnants on the stem?

Here are photos of the shrooms and a spore print. My phone is taking really crappy pictures of them in their native habitat right now.

Judging from these latest pictures I'd say Galerina, probably G. marginata, which is deadly toxic.

Good thing u waited on that ID!
I saw the stems and they did look like Galerina. They have those dark blackish stems with a scaly texture.

I'm not eating anything that I can't ID to species. I didn't actually pick one until I was looking through photos I had taken and posted the original. That pin caught my eye and made me think psilocybe, but I've seen galerina pins in youtube videos that looked just like it. Definitely taking it slow and exercising caution with this new hobby.
