Histidin (Histamin) and mushrooms?
    #2706088 - 05/20/04 02:05 PM (19 years, 10 months ago)

I did some searches on the web regarding this issue, but didnt found anything related.

Would taking a product containing 70mg Histidin ( which will be alterd into Histamin in the body)
have any effect (positive or negative) then taken with shrooms?

Does it make you tired?

Anything that clouds your head makes trip alot less intense and not as fun. A trip is about clarity, most of anything else clouds your head.

I agree. Smoking weed makes the experience way more intense, but it does tend to cloud it and make it less memorable. As for the histidin i do not know.

The Histidin is part of an nutrition additve pill and i feel nothing unusal from taking them.
But i had a small concern regarding the histamin, because its active in the Hypothalamus region
of the brain and is interacting with various Histaminreceptors (H1 and H2)
and i wonderd, if there maybe an interaction with Histamin and psylocobin.

What does it do, block, regulate, stimulate the receptors?

If it blocks the H2 receptor, you will have one of the most relaxed trips ever, but you still would be groggy.

I did some more googling  and found, that it stimulates the receptors.

Look up hydroxyzine . H2 blocker. Theres tons of sources on it.

If it stimulates the receptors, then your in for an anxiety roundabout.

Hydroxyzine they give to patients who cant stop worrying before a medical opertaion, their head keeps running deep bad thoughts (just like a bad trip), and this runs on the h2 receptor. If you increase the h2 receptor, I dont know exactly whats gonna happen but my guess is your gonna run into a hellish trip.
