There's something about hackberry?
    #27066048 - 12/01/20 10:24 AM (3 years, 1 month ago)

These popped un in a hackberry stump that often is covered and surrounded by what I believe to be inky caps.
The stems are rooted way down in the stump it seems.
SW OK
Tough and rubbery, tastes sweet.
I don't recall seeing these around.
Any guesses?

Thanks inski.

I considered that but it didn't seem very slimy but it is sticky.

So if it prints white it's safe to eat the caps in a soup or stir fry right?
