99.9% sure I am proposing Thursday. Its her bday and also with family not really getting together this year for thanksgiving it might just be us and the 3 kids. Nice intimate setting. We each had a daughter before getting together and they are 6 months apart. We just had our own little boy together back in June My life is slowly weaving together something beautiful, a few years ago I was strung out on dope, away from my kid living in a car with 2 cats (kept the litter box in the trunk and the back seat folded down...fucking junkie)
today I have been employed for over 3 years at the same company, recently won custody of my daughter, signed a lease to move from a 2 bed apartment to a 4 bedroom house with a yard (and basement that has been claimed in the name of cult ) and have added another beautiful boy to this world I get to call my son.
you guys have been a part of my journey, and I thank you for that
I'll be sure to update with the answer

well from one ex junkie of 25yrs to another man great fuckin jobšššim very happy for you man. thats truely fuckin awsum brotherššš so a huge and very well deserved congrats from me on everything. i wish you both the happiness you deserve

I confess this hobby, and this restart in particular,is currently my last life line. Life kicked me so damn hard this year that I started to forget some of what I had learned from mush cult (mental well-being and perspective and whatnot). Trying to start up a new career in a new area and restarting this hobby kinda the last thing I have to hold on to from a time before my world fell apart. Really needing that peace of mind I had when I was balls deep in petri dishes.

I confess that out of sheer haste to get something going again, despite knowing better, I am starting at 9 PF jars that will likely never see fruition because I made them with instant rice. More jars done correct and spores going to agar for WBS later but these 9 jars are a good reminder of everything thing I've learned about mush cult.

I'm past those days but still up at 4:30-5 no matter what time I go to bed in anticipation for the kid to wake up. Sometimes he's nice, sleeps in and I can get some mycology work done before heading out lol

I confess...so far Iāve been very happy with my decision to go with dogs over kids.
Although if I had a ton of money kids would be fun, but Iāve just watched so many people get forced into jobs/lives they hate because they need to provide.
Then thereās the extremely rare completely fulfilled group who either set up their lives great and then had kids, or just had kids and got very lucky afterwards.
My flowhood test plates are still clean so if they make it til tomorrow Iām officially relocating all my stuff from the SAB.

I agree. I watched a lot of friends and family have kids and either have to live lives they were not happy with it rely heavily on family for support or both. I dont have the means or the support network to raise a child in anything other than painful poverty. My dog loved living in a tent. A baby probably would not.

I'm in my late 20s and thinking along the same lines as you guys.
I been traveling quite a lot around asia for about 3 years if my life and I want to travel alm over the world before even considering getting children.
Pretty sure it will take me awhile to see all the country I want to visit and love in before thinking about kids. Also the world will for sure be a different place be then.
