Housing is literally 1/3 the cost in the USA of what it costs to live in Canada. Where is the shit hole? Even places like Point Roberts, where you can look at a 5 square mile chunk of the USA in Canada. But there has been no premium to be in the USA?
Where is the shit hole country?
It makes more sense to get Dual citizenship and live near the boarder to save 300k on a house and commute across the boarder every day.
Thats funny cuz where I live in America there seems to be some of the most expensive properties you can buy anywhere in the world but ok.

What's the difference between these houses in metropolitan Vancouver, except that some are on the shitty side of the boarder and worth 1/3 as much?
There's nice neighbourhoods anywhere in the world you go. New York, San Fran, Seattle. Sure there are expensive places in any neighbourhood, but I'm saying as an average, the USA is much cheaper.

You can take the city bus from Tsawwassen into downtown Vancouver, or from Point Roberts, WA. Read a book, my man.

Greece, Rome, even England had it's empire fall. It's America's turn now.

Wow I just had to look that up on a map why would you act like I had any idea where those places you mentioned are theyre like 12 hrs drive from anywhere are you joking? I get in canada you drive 12 hours for groceries but in America people don't want to live in shithole places in the middle of nowhere.

Yes. I went to southern france for 10 days. We stayed at a resort sort of place that was almost entirely French people and you rent houses at the resort. It's also when the lavender blooms, so it's beautiful to go look at. It's one of those places french people go to escape tourists during the summer. The place was amazing though. I highly recommend it for a place to relax.

Come on bud. In the capitalist system where the free market sets the value of goods, what can you infer about why one side of the boarder would have such cheaper houses less than 250 yards from equal houses?

Which parts of France/Europe have you visited and/or lived in?

I went to Nimes once for a music festival. It was hot as shit and the city was kinda boring but there were some cool ancient Roman buildings, including a two story colosseum from around 70 AD at the center of the city. The people seemed pretty nice but I speak no French so I couldn't really talk to a whole lot of people. Trying to talk to the lady I was renting the Air BnB from was quite the experience

Wealthy entrepreneurs gather for the season in their ocean view apartments to gawk at the boats limping in with shredded sails from the Mistral winds and rent their boat slips to those who can't afford apartments. Along the coast there are camping resorts where bus loads of Britishers enjoy the sun. Disco's, cafe's, baguettes and camembert are the fare for those who can't wait 45 minutes in a restaurant for their meal to arrive.

Can you speak French?
There are places in Canada where housing is a lot cheaper than the Toronto and Vancouver areas. But yeah none with any milder winters than Vancouver.

I've been to southern France dozens of times. Really nice, lots of variation in landscape, climate, culture, cities. The climate is pleasant but obviously quite hot in summer. These days we prefer Italy over southern France because it has even more to offer to tourists, but if it's about settling down I'd go for southern France over Italy for sure.

Southern France is one ov my bucket list destinations, particularly Montsegur. Besides the sheer beauty ov the region, "The zone" is alleged to be one ov the most magickal places in the world, chock-full ov occult energy and hauntedness.
