Habitat:
Grassy, mossy area, 50 ft elevation, mason county WA, near Puget Sound

Gills:
brown, attached, gills,

Stem:
2.5 - 3.5 inches tall, 1/8 - 3/4 inches wide, brown, smooth, solid fibrous, thick

Cap:
2-3.5 inches diameter, brown, smooth, stickey, wavy and concave

Spore print color:
Very important!

Bruising:
gills bruise brown

Other information:
scent is earthy.

Curious though. Sounds like you’re describing cyans but growing in moss and a 3/4” stem would be very unusual.

No, not cyans or any active. You won't find cyans growing in grass like that unless it is coastal dune grass or there is buried wood underneath.

Those aren't the best pictures for identification, but I'll take a stab at it and either Galerina (if buried wood is present) or maybe Agrocybe but I am not certain by any means.
