Is this contamination?
    #27060518 - 11/27/20 04:32 PM (3 years, 2 months ago)

Hey all, over this last couple months i have done a lot of research on how to grow my own mushrooms at home, something i wanted to do for quite some time now.
I got everything i needed to start and i ordered some grow kits from different mushrooms  with the idea of cloning them. Now from where i ordered the kits they had some problem and at this time im still waiting for them.
As i already got everything to get starded i decided to clone a wild mushroom 'lepiota procera' to try and see how everything works while i wait for my kits.

Now im pretty sure this is some kind of contamination but can anyone confirm if it really is and what it is?

I made 8 petris and 6 of them are like that.

Looks like bacteria. Common from cloning wild mushrooms especially if you find them a little wet.

next time try picking just a small - rice grain size or smaller - piece from inside the stem.

they all look contaminated but the second pic has some interesting growth in the 11 o'clock region.

Wait a bit more.
This is my wild clone picture, it started to do the same but then after some time mycelium overgrew and then I transferred from clean place.
