Do you exercise? 1

If so, what kind of exercise and how often?
I’ve been lazy for the past month or so, but prior to that I was doing upper body dumbbell and body weight exercises about 3-4 times a week, 1 day of lower body stuff (lunges, dumbbell squats, hamstring curls, calf raises, theraband stuff for my hips and adductors), and a couple times a week doing HIIT 30/20/10 routine on an exercise bike, usually 3 rounds of 3-5 sets.
Gotta get back into it, the motivation just hasn’t been there lately. I just feel so much better mentally when I’m working out regularly, sleep is better, less stress etc.

Not as much right now. I have a harder time motivating myself to do it when I am not at the gym. Once I get to the gym it's easy for me to stay motivated to keep exercising for at least an hour. At home I can easily get distracted after doing 15 or 20 minutes of work. I use one of these:

it's not perfect but it's better than only being able to use body weight.

I wish I worked out more. I need to. I know I need to and I still haven't established the habit. With a 2 year old and wife at home, it's reeeeeeaaaaalllllyyyyyy easy to let the day disappear and it's very difficult to re-establish this habit.
I used all the time. And I know it's like imperative to mental health. Unfortunately my knee does not need any additional stress, as I am likely going to need a knee transplant before 50 already, due to my job (if I don't change, I am a nurse).

I haven't worked out in like 4 years mostly due to a work-related injury but I'm not injured anymore so I could work out if I wanted to but no gyms are open and when I don't have a gym membership I don't have the motivation to just go on a jog outside. I have to go to a gym to run on a damn treadmill. I should just consider buying a treadmill because that would probably be cheaper than having a gym membership.

I do mostly bodyweight exercises and I have a kettlebell at home. It's all you need to do really. Pushups are a lot better than doing nothing if you can't/won't go to a gym.

Just to expand a little on that-- I'd say pushups, situps, chinups and squats/lunges and you got most of the bases covered for almost no money at all. Chinup bars are super cheap and you could use some dumbbells for sqauts/lunges if you want or need to.

i take epicatechin and laxogenin pills, along with creatine powder and arginine akg powder. my exercise comes in pill form. after 3 months i've seen actual muscle growth despite my only exercise coming from cashiering at work. this is a job i've had for 3 years, so it's not like it's simply mistaken correlation either - right now it's slower than normal due to the pandemic and wintertime, so if anything i'm getting less exercise than normal lol.
granted, it costs me about 70 bucks a month in supplements, but eh... that's probably cheaper than a gym membership anyways, and a heck of lot less effort.

Not endorsing laziness but you’d probably get better results with l-citrulline than l-arginine

Exactly. I get my exercise just through daily activities and chores but I make it a point to hit AT LEAST 30 minutes of activity a day. no exceptions.
Staying active for just 30 minutes helps to boost your immune system.

hmmm - maybe it depends on the area, lol. regardless, this is a true 5 minute workout. :P plus no worries about covid, either!

i was using arginine AKG because it was a possible anti-aging compound from some recent studies with mice, along with metformin. the muscle building support was just an added bonus, lol. not sure if it's exactly the same as l-arginine, or if that would be exactly the same as l-citrulline. (other than absorption effectiveness, that is, i meant if they all do the same thing.)
the epicatechin is for inhibiting myostatin, a compound which inhibits muscle growth (certain breeds of animals, like bully whippets, have genes which inhibit this, and some humans too), so if you're just going for muscle growth that's probably the main one to take. the laxogenin is supposed to increase protein synthesis without messing with hormone levels, which makes it another excellent one to take - but if you're going to just take one of those i'd go for the epicatechin.
and what's wrong with laziness? the entirety of modern civilization came about due to people saying "fuck this nonsense!" and striving for smarter, lazier solutions to mindless drudgery, so that we could get past all that boring grind and have more time for fun stuff!
who wants to hit weights for hours on end when you can just swallow a few pills, have nice results, and use that nice sexy body to do what you want in life, whether it be lazing about, having fun in bed, or exploring the world? a world full of healthy people sure beats having a world of fatties, right? :P
