Identification needed, Multiple species mendocino county #2 Gymnopilus junonius???

Habitat:
1.i didnt take notes so a bit vague discreption.But i beleive found under pine trees in small patch of grass alone no other species or same kind near by from what i saw. growing on a hillside overlooking the ocean in mendocino county northern california.

2. growing in grassy patch between ferns but had come up from under neath cut branches from pine trees i beleive.

Gills:parrallell 1.ran all the way to the stipe
2. caps closed with i beleive what ypoud call a veil between stipe and cap where gills may develop


Stem 1. length about 2 1/2-3" total cap included,not hollow stipe. close up picture shows texture to it not slimy at all

2. length from 1/2" to 6" at the tallest all growing in one clump. stem not hollow same orange color as othe rest of specimen.

Cap:1. 2-21/2 inches wide. curcle shaped. purple color to it the species on the tip of my toungue but cant quite get it. maybe a lactarious?

cap 2. Button like from smallest to biggest none open all closed button top rounded dome shape

Spore print color 1.was white
couldnt get then to drop spores. maybe immature specimens? or impatience? waited 24 hours at least

Bruising:
1.no bruising
2. no bruising

Other information:
1. smelled just like a mushroom in a groicery store/
2. Scent of the mushroom more pungent than the other filled my room with a musky once again mushroom basic scent but very strong
