I feel like I do this once every couple months or at least twice a year. Even if I have not been having sex I see redness on my dick or balls and just go nuts on google.
This time I have been sexually active within the past few months. And I am really freaking out. I hate to post this on the shroomery but the health forums I posted on don't seem to get many replies. Not sure if anyone here has the herps and could possibly share their opinion.
I was sexually active with the same person for the last year and from time to time I would get tiny red bumps on head of my dick, they always go away in a couple days. From all my googling I figured they were from friction or some kind of bacterial infection..
I had pretty rough sex a week ago or so and got the bumps again and so this is why I was googling last night..today the bumps are pretty much gone but as I was checking those out this morning I noticed a red sore on the side of my nut sack, and now I'm convinced I have herpes. If I would allow myself to be rational, I would tell myself it is probably a sore from cutting myself the last time I shaved my nuts which would have been about 2 weeks ago. But, I can't be rational right now. All I can think about is how I have herpes.
If I would have gotten herpes from this person, wouldn't it have shown up way earlier? and google says it hurts...I have had no pain.
This sucks. If I come out of this and end up not having herpes... I swear if I ever get rich as fuck I am going to dedicate like a year of my life to helping people with herpes.

Go get tested immediately, there is no way of knowing without a test.
Unfortunately the symptoms of all STDs are incredibly diverse and often do not conform to a predictable pattern.

I'm terrified of getting tested. Admittedly my ego is too big and I am afraid of the embarrassment.
I think I just cut myself shaving and forgot about it.. but that doesn't explain the red bumps. Those sound a lot more like symptom of 'thrush' or whatever which is more common in uncircumcised men(which I am) and this would make a lot of sense because my partner has had a lot of yeast infections.
I just do not even want to think about this. pretty upset

I understand, but if left untreated some STIs can lead to serious side effects, you might have one that is treatable. Even if you have herpes there are millions that live happy lives with it, it can be controlled and there are lots of people that also have it and will not judge you. If you don't get checked you put others at risk.

The initial on set of herpes is usually accompanied by symptoms that resemble a mild case of the flu. It is a viral infection after all so you would experience a mild fever, aches and pains, maybe a dull headache for a few days.

In all seriousness, doing medical diagnosis via google isn't great, and often just raises unnecessary concern. Best to have it looked at, as suggested. You're grown up enough to have the sex, so best you get over the potential embarrassment and see someone, it's not such a big deal and should be over and done with before you know it.

Go get tested! Fuck your pride and whatever ego BS that is "embarrassing" to you. It could be syphilis. You could get an infection on your bloodstream. Please do it! I'm actually a nurse.
People who have had syphilis for a long time face serious health problems. Late stages of syphilis can cause tumors, blindness, and paralysis. It can damage your nervous system, brain and other organs, and may even kill you. Syphilis is easily curable with antibiotics in the early stages.
Even if it's not an STD (old way of saying it) you can still die!
What are the complications of a necrotizing soft tissue infection? A necrotizing soft tissue infection can destroy skin, muscle, and other soft tissues, and, if untreated, lead to death
