Just inoculated two bags of whole oats that I sterilized with my pressure cooker. Has been about 1.5 days and don’t see any growth yet. Golden teachers.

Welcome! Good luck! Make sure your jars are warm enough with light on em. Keep the room 70-75

Patience, young padawan.
what did you inoculate with? wouldn't stress too much. grains, agar, LC, they all take some time to recover from the inoculation 'stress'

Inoculated with spore syringe since I’m starting from scratch. Thanks everyone

for the record, spore syringe to grains is not ideal. they are almost never 100% clean.
to get back on topic, spores can take a while to germinate. put your jars on a shelf and check again in a week. start other projects. try some agar.

Want to grow using anything but jars. Will try a small tray if I can get some advice doing so. Plan is to add grain spawn to sterilite container once colonized (monotub).

Honestly since this is my first time it’s kind of intimidating to find something that works.

I understand, we've all been there. just pick one tek and stick to it until it's finished.
next time, don't inoculate grains with spores though use agar. it seems difficult but isn't once you get the hang of it.
this is a great place to start everything you need to know is in this thread and its subsequent links.
read and keep reading.

Well, living in an area where liquid culture for the shrooms I want to grow aren’t available, I’m just trying to get enough viable mycelium that I can grow and maybe do G2G transfers until I can get fruiting bodies. So I inoculated uncle Ben’s ready rice packets with my spore syringe. I am gathering supplies to create my own liquid culture with my spore syringe too.

the uncle Ben's tek is definitely a one way ticket to disaster, especially with spores. you don't want to go down that path.
spores to LC is another crapshoot. sores should only go to agar or brf in my opinion. if you already have a pressure cooker, I suggest you try your hand at agar.

I inoculated 7 plates with panaeolus cyanscens, and 3 plates with golden teachers. I hope it goes well.

fingers crossed!
a good way to mess around with agar is to go with the no pours. you can reuse the containers and don't have to keep buying new petri dishes if something goes wrong.

Glad you've got starter on agar, it's definitely the way to go! Maybe you know this already but you're soon going to need more plates for doing transfers and cleaning up the cultures. You might get very lucky and have a spore plate clean enough for grain, but it's hard to tell at that stage.
After you've taken transfers you can keep the spore plates (if they're not obviously contaminated) and see if they pin, then you can grow clone cultures from the pin which is pretty neat.

I’m gonna start some bRF cakes ASAP within the next few days. I will fruit them or spawn them to mono tub, or probably fruit some and spawn the rest.

I can attest to agar being easier than I thought. I've been doing it for maybe two weeks now and already have it dialled in. Even pouring my own plates in a sab. Just wish I'd started sooner. Practically no contamination on my plates and transfers my first few times. I don't even have ISO (yet) just plain old soapy water in a spray bottle.

I think soapy water is the standard these days.
