Feedback on surface condition/slow pinning

Been lurking here for a couple months now and I'm in the middle of my first grow, and I'm a bit puzzled., Beads are not forming when I mist, it's more like the water coats the surface of the substrate instead. What could be the cause for this? Too much FAE? Or maybe the the coir was under field capacity.
Spawned on 3/11, 4 quarts of whole brown rice spawn to 1 brick of coir (620g), in a 32 quart tote.

This first picture was taken about 4h after the last misting.

This second picture is just after a misting, any thoughts?

Hard to see in your pics.
If you’re saturating the surface instead of getting little beads it could be a few things. Your spray bottle may not atomize the water very well. Big droplets tend to soak a sub. You could be misting too close to the surface, or just misting too much. I see what looks like a bit of moisture in your first pic, I wouldn’t mist when there is still some surface moisture like that. The second pic looks too wet.
That being said, you do have some fruit.

Thanks for the reply man! I don't think it's my water bottle, the mist seems very fine to me. I try to spray upwards and from the side, about 2ft away. Even with the lid on it evaporates/absorbs(?) quite fast..

I have had this happen after letting the surface get too dry and stressing the top myc. After that, I never could get the ideal looking beads of moisture on the surface. None the less, the tubs did fruit and produce fairly well. It looks like you are still on track to have a nice first grow.
Those beads are the ideal surface and will help promote the best pin sets. But cubes will manage to produce even when conditions are not perfect. I think you are going to be fine. Especially in later flushes.
Congrats on your first grow.

Yeah, I did have a small-ish amount of beads in the beginning, might've given it too much FAE too soon then! Appreciate the help friend, thanks!!
