Fair enough. OP another problem is the cap doesnt appear to be hygrophenous. In the first photo it looks wet, in the last it looks dry. If it was a Psilocybe you would have seen a very distinct color changing sort of effect as it dried.
And to answer your question about the stem: yes, psilocybe stems tend to darken with age, often turning reddish. Everything you're describing sounds like a Psilocybe, but the pictures do not look like a psilocybe. You either need better pictures, or you need to examine the features more objectively.

pics?
It is too faint to get on picture. Not even 100% on that anyway since its not showing on all specimens.

Hmmm okay that looks a bit more promising. Don't eat it but take more photos (one of the gills in better lighting especially) if you can and save the spores. Hopefully we can get a TI in here.

Making sure i get the spore print so im not messing with them. They all are a bit dried out now so as for more pictures none more unless more grow.

Either if Hypholoma or Psilocybe the spore print will be similar looking - i.e. dark purplish brown to almost black.

Find some more fresh ones and take better pictures, i.e. in situ and detailed close up shots of intact specimens.

Excellent. You're a saint, Mr Anglerfish. You wouldn't believe the kinda mileage I've gotten out of your instruction on IDing Psathyrella to genus.
OP, if you still have the specimen it may not be to late to figure out what it is. If it bruises blue you will probably know by now. I'm invested in the mystery now so I'll be here even if no ones else cares. Besides an in situ shot which it is kinda too late for, the #1 thing I'd need to ID this mushroom to genus is a well lit gill shot. Well lit means natural daylight, or white (not yellow) light. The flash on your phone should do the trick in a pinch.
For future reference, you can get all macroscopic ID features in one shot every single time if you have at least two specimens. Leave on in place (where it is growing) and put the other one next to it, gills facing up.
