The latter of which took a bit of adjusting to get the wait time down so will need to dis\reassembling to put it back to cult work. Made it fancy with a 3d printed power switch and plug

That's a big boy. Gonna invest in a 3d printer soon. I may also build a portable rechargeable one for fun.
Oh man, you are my muse right now!
First, Re: 3d printer: Do it! All the technical reading and learning and tweaking and adjusting and calibrating and soldering, and measuring, and drafting and modeling and flashing and coding you could ever dream of. Hope you don't like sleep. I bought a barebones kit and used it to print and better printer. Since I have built 3 more. They have dropped in price a lot but cheapest by far is to have some with a printer print the corner pieces, order stepper motors and boards and gears, and use EMT tubing for the frame. Like $70 for a printer that way.
Second, for fun I am going to try doing some agar work while camping. Just want to see if I can do it. A induction coil running on a portable 12v power bank would be PERFECT for this! Open flame in my tent always makes me nervous and flaming my tools was honestly the most concerning part of what I was thinking. Thanks for the inspiration!

I have a friend that build a portable flow hood for use when they were living in hotels, i bet you could build a pack to power like a 1sqft hood and an induction coil. would be epic. could recharge from a car

Okay that stuff is on steroids

I have discovered some crazy clandestine camps on my walkabouts; luckily no one is home most of the time. But man..... I really want to set up a fucking full myco lab complete with flow hood, induction coil, and even and incubator/refrigerator. Solar panel to recharge power supply and maintain climate control. Set it up in a cave to reduce draft, temp flux, and weather concerns. DUUUUUDE! I am so on this.

That sounds awesome, that channel i linked earlier has tons of videos on DIY powerwalls with cheep battery's along with all ways to charge them. pro tip, you can collect dead batterys from laptop shops and recover the good cells in the battery packs.
