I've heard physicians say the vaccine is dangerous because it only prevents symptoms, but doesn't prevent you from spreading the virus. So basically it increases the likelihood of asymptomatic spread.

Could you point me in the direction of the writing of some of these physicians, I love listening to quackery almost as I love listening to Evangelical con men. Or did a couple of doctors you know personally mention this to you in which case it's my loss.

Cause that's not what Fauci said when it was reported by Yahoo that way. So if you have a doctor saying specifically that I'd love to listen to that guy all day. And I'm guessing the doctor didn't say that it increases the likelihood of asymptomatic spread, but if he did that would be a bonus.

Fauci also said healthy adults shouldn't wear masks.

Yeah Osterholm  has been a more reliable source. Who are the Physicians that said the vaccine only stops symptoms?

Chinese authorities said they inoculated nearly one million people with the Sinopharm vaccine. It's a state run company and we don't know any clinical results of their early trials. This is the largest application of a Covid vaccine, but I'm thinking nobody in the West, regardless of their viewpoint, is going to know how to interpret any reports we get back on this.

Even conservative sources like the Wall Street Journal say the reason why China doesn't have good testing is because they just don't have enough current cases, and need to find foreigners to test.

Is this a bad problem or a good problem?

Is Sinopharm the company making CovidVac (i think that's the name, could be wrong)?

If so, I saw an article on it. I guess it's basically a traditional vaccine, much like the flu vaccine. That said, they are testing the same one in Brazil and somewhere else.

That's great, more people with T-cell immunity.

No need for a vaccine if most are already immune from natural infection.

The article I have says Sinopharm (China National Pharmaceutical Group) has two vaccines in late stage clinical trials but it did not give their names. It says they were being tested in ten countries including UAR, Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Peru and Argentina, and that UAR approved their use in September and Indonesia is considering it. They have also been tested on Chinese leaving the country, such as construction workers, diplomats and overseas students.

The article said Western sources have suggested that the clinical trials are moving slowly because they are not publishing hard data results like the ones Pfizer and Moderna just releaseed.

Better than 99.99%?

As you can see, in the link in my signature, coronavirus 19 was wide spread before November 2019.

If you don't think it had already landed on planes here in USA, there's some wrong with your thought process.

No it wasn’t.

Who said anything about 99.99%?

Vaccines give you better immunity than actual infection.

I can’t believe someone who has spent the entire pandemic learning about this topic is still so ignorant

Sorry, 99.99% for those under age 50.

Why are Flu vaccines only up to 50% effective then?

Here ya go, listen to this stuff on Covid 19.

Echoes much of what I have been saying these past few months. Talks about PCR test picking up dead virus particles, virus replication periods, etc, etc, etc.

It fucking makes sense to me. I wish people would actually sit and pay attention to this, instead of throwing insults.

All of us have watched those videos. But have also seen 99.99% more videos with better scientists.

You seek out only science that fits your narrative without any good understanding of what you're even trying to argue.

You're posting the nancy grace version of PCR news.

You've been rambling about cycles being too high for weeks and still cant articulate why that's a problem beyond it picks up potentially dead virus particles. which is kind of the point so please explain

Really? All of you have watched those videos? I doubt it. It's obvious you haven't listened to this one. What's it say, bod?

Dead virus particles don't replicate.

No replication = no contagion.

I thought I said that before?

This video goes into inflammation and stuff. Where's that being talked about bod?

Re: Coronavirus Chat [Re: HamHead]

The third point is an artifact of the sensitivity needed to achieve accuracy for the first two

Quote:

A positive PCR result in someone without symptoms could mean any of the following:

1. A person is pre-symptomatic or asymptomatic, meaning they may or may not develop symptoms, but is shedding the virus. Asymptomatic or pre-symptomatic people who are PCR-positive can sometimes transmit SARS-CoV-2 to others

2. A person has recovered from the virus, but is still shedding the virus and could transmit SARS-CoV-2 to others

3. A person has recovered from COVID-19, but the PCR is detecting dead virus or viral RNA fragments, and SARS-CoV-2 cannot be transmitted to others

The third point is a red herring for people that don't know much about pcr and medical diagnostics in general.
Furthermore better safe than sorry is also a tenant of good healthcare.

Everyone has already talked about it.... You seriously think the people that designed and run these tests didn't think about it but you did? That's insane.

I heard the FDA leaves it up to whatever testing company to determine their own cycle threshold.

In my opinion, with all this talk about market place competition, it makes sense to have such a sensitive test for a company to exploit without knowledge of viral trasnmission.

It's a problem when people are able to continue testing positive several weeks after recovering. Especially when in some countries, negative test results must be produced to be allowed to leave quarantine.

Or to fly into a country. If someone was sick and recovered 6 weeks ago and test positive because of dead virus particles, people may be prohibited from doing, things.

What is California doing about the crowds of homeless people? No matter how much and how long  Newsome locks businesses down, COVID will continue to be passed around the homeless community, waiting for the day that things open up again.
