Bacterial Blotch? First grow....
    #27053780 - 11/23/20 11:14 AM (3 years, 2 months ago)

This is my first time growing, so my apologies if this is a dumb question... Everything seemed to be going well and then these weird sort of transparent spots started to appear on the caps of my golden teachers. I've done much googling and I couldn't really figure it out the contaminant. Perhaps I started getting too much mist on the caps when spraying.  Is it bacterial blotch? Should I toss is all? so sad! The cross section is from the mushroom with the most far-along lesion. Any advice is much appreciated. Thanks!

I just harvested the ones whose veils broke and the ones that grew later on had very hollow stems. The fat ones were hollow more just in the mid-stem area. Did my substrate dry out too much? Maybe they were too dry from below and too wet from above. Safe to eat? I threw out the ones with weird transparent-ish spots. And the blue fuzz on the fat one in the tub is just fuzzy feet mycelium bruising right?  Wow lots of questions thanks!

You can always just cut out the parts that look fishy its rarely the case that one needs to throw away a whole fruit which otherwise looks healthy. In your case it's most likely just due to some environmental factor but to be extra sure don't eat the fresh fruits but dry them and boil in a tea before consuming to kill potential Germs. Gl
