Will the age of a spore print affect how quickly pins will grow?

Hey so my pins growth has stalled for about a week and a half. I am giving them all the right conditions (misting, temp, FAE etc.) so the only thing I can think of that could be causing this stall is that the print I used to make the spore syringe was a year and a half old. However, I did leave the spores in my syringe for 5 days to rehydrate them before inoculating.

I'm relatively new to this but IMO, hell no.
Spores from older prints may take longer to germinate on agar but once you're past that stage and have successfully inoculated some PF cakes or grain jars, I don't see how the age of the spore would have any effect on pins stalling.
Are you growing with PF cakes or monotubs? It's almost certainly something else with your spawn/cake or environmental conditions that are causing pins to stall.
You should post pics and give more details about your process. Best of luck.

Ok that is relieving to hear as I didn't want to start over. I have the full details of my situation here: https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/27052493 If you would be so kind to check it out that'd be much appreciated.

Ah I saw that thread, didn't realize it was yours.
Unfortunately I don't think I can be of much help there, sorry. From my experience and what I've read here, what you're experiencing doesn't seem to be too common.
Your pinset is nice and it doesn't look like many of them are really aborting so maybe they're just really really slow growers or you have some kind of contamination that's fucking with things. 3 weeks is a while lol but I don't think there's too much you can do right now besides keep up the FAE, maybe lay off the misting and see where it goes. Hopefully they finish growing
And if they don't! At least you'll have a small harvest instead of nothing lol

OK thanks, I will give it two more weeks and if I don't see any growth I will harvest.
