I'm currently reading "Entangled Life" by Merlin Sheldrake where he among other things writes about how mycelium can choose directions depending on nutritional prospects. I think that's what this picture shows. The mycelium neglects the hyphae growing away from the mushroom and strengthens those growing towards it.

You enjoying it? It's the next book down in my recreational reading pile.

It's definitely a great book. Learned a lot. Bit too poetic and literary at times but that's just a minor issue.

What is your current book from the recreational reading pile?

That's a new one to me. What is the pig treatment?

Haha I think if PE was an animal it would be a hungry pig, so I give these hungry pigs what they want, lots of air and water.
I like to bottom water if I suspect the culture has good potential and it's crazy how much water they can take daily when they start pinning, one moment is there pooling and an hour later is gone. Just want to let them know that there's plenty of water for them to grow how they want to grow.

It is actually a giveaway teaser, some ones, some fives, some 20s.

They have Whytegold on them. Unsterilized bills. Novelty but can probably be grown from.

Some leftover substrate/spawn mix from a shoebox went into little jars.

Not actually h. poo...

Realized it was steer manure after labeling.
