African Transkei from TLG

I Ijust placed an order with TLG so should be recieving it along with a free syringe of this African variety in about 10 minutes :tongue:

. Any info regarding this race would be appreciated :smile:

The South African is one of my personal favorite strains of Cubensis.

I know why Africans run around with bones in their noses!!!!

I have a very potent isolate of this strain that I have been working with.

I think you will enjoy them.

Yeh a friend of mine made a pint and a half (ruff estimate, it could be a quart - its around twice the size of a pint jar) jar of WBS with his free South African syringe. It should make a nice casing.

I ordered Orissa India, Lipa Yai, and South African Transkei syringes from TLG.
I innoculated some BRF (PF tek) jars about a week ago, and dont see any growth from the Transkei's yet. The Orissa's are taking off, and the Lipa's are right behind.

do Transkei's have a hard time on BRF?

Also, I have done many jars in the past, and have had no contamination. This time around, however, 2 of my 5 Orissa Jars have contammed, and 1 of my Lipa's is contammed. I use pretty sterile technique, which involves cleaning the hell out of my kitchen, flame sterilizing my syringes, wiping syringe with alcohol after each jar, using the 'oven-tek', and wiping all jar lids with alcohol before innoculating. This is the first time ordering from this vendor. I know that everyone raves about his product, but I was just curious if anyone else is getting contams with these strains from TLG. It very well may have just been something I did. Just thought I'd ask though.

It was something you did. If the syringe was the problem every jar it did would be contamed.
