Yes they are.  A clone I've maintained over the years.  Source was a wild fruit from Cape Disappointment, WA.

Great grows zifozonke and elpico. can't wait to get my own planter grows started!
I've got some baeo spores on agar and ovoid spores coming in to expand the fungal jungle in the garden.
all thanks to the wonderful users of this forum, you know who you are

Haywire, how's it going with the baeos so far? I got some going on agar last winter and it grew really slow (at least twice as slow as cyans) but I did end up getting one going that seemed clean and strong. I ran out of time to try it on grain and ended up just burying it in chips outside. Where do you plan on putting your grain spawn outdoors? I've learned doing research here that because they are secondary decomposers they prefer older--more broken down wood. Haven't got that far yet so I am very curious to hear how it goes for you since I still have some spores.

thanks

I don't know. I swiped the plates on monday but now I'm on holidays. so won't be able to check on them anytime soon ...
My plan is to make grain spawn - sterilized woodchips (small smoking ones) - leached woodchips like I always do.
I've read that as well, might have to go and collect some debris from the forest to get them started.

Do y’all just incubate most wood lovers at room temp or lower?

sterile stuff I keep at room temperature, because I like to keep an eye on it. everything else is outside/garage and gets whatever it gets.

Thanks, folks.  Glad you enjoyed.  My azurescens projects have been going apeshit this month.
Here are a couple of pots that are going on four years.  I just feed them a few fresh chips every summer:

This tub is just exploding right now.  It's a side-by-side grow of two different wild clones, both from near the mouth of the Columbia River, Oregon side:

Meanwhile in a nearby bed, P. cyanescens not wanting to be left out.  Note azure pins in the corner:

Ovoid and allenii beds are also starting to pin.  Damn,I think that's it for now.

That may be one of the illest tubes I've ever seen, excellent work

These are from a cyan mycelium transplant I did back in February. Main observation is the area behind the tree where I put a good casing layer is fruiting very well, where as the uncased area to the left has good mycelium growth under the top layer of chips, but it didn't reach the surface and has no fruiting yet this fall.

Ok, thanks Haywire--keep us updated if you don't mind. I'd love to hear how it goes as you progress. It'd be great to have success with an outdoor baeo grow.

About 6 months ago during the southern hemisphere mushrooming season I collected a bunch of spores from some subs, mixed them with water and sprayed them over a freshly mulched bit of garden bed. Since then I've kept it well watered and haven't let it dry out.

As yet I haven't seen any obvious hyphae and I wasn't sure if that was normal six months after inoculating the mulch.

Can anyone give me an idea of whether that's a sign it hasn't worked? Can I expect them to fruit after just one year do you think?

use the fine black mulch/potting soil cut with wood chips with the baeo's.

Last Azzy of the season. Hard frosts have hit my area.

After 3 years of working with the same mycelium, finally starting again from spores. Took 2 sectors so far, but I will be taking more!
