Couple questions.. does TW require a peat casing and is it stable where you can grab spores or do you need tissue of that culture? Faht
So I got in touch with a friend that has this culture.. he says his drop spores and are potent. He’s gonna send me a swab. I’ll keep y’all in mind when I’m swabbing TW gills.

Awesome! Thanks... I’m sure we could work out a trade

Myc_Hunt said: I don't know that much about trays or cultivating, so I'm sorry for how stupid this sounds. This is my first time getting spores>agar>grain to actually work, so idk if this is what a good healthy grow is supposed to look like vs my ms syringe grows that surprisingly worked. Any input is appreciated, they're cubensis.
Hey, so I know its a few days later and I was following your advice until I couldn't. Instead of tossing the tray I decided that I would see what the fluffy shit was before getting rid of it. Well I flamed sterilized a scalpel and cut through and it bruises blue heavily.
Now to my knowledge mycogone is a mold. Based off the bruising and what stroma is I'm assuming that's what I got going on. But the su environment thing doesn't make sense because the fc has been running high rh (95%). The coir may have been on the drier side, so I misted it after removing the stroma just to see what happens. I'm not sure what petroleum chemicals they could have been exposed to, so that's interesting.
Is stroma overlay? Or are they different?
Remember this tray?
Now I know it's nothing impressive, but I was really expecting this experiment to fail, so I'll take some mushrooms if this shoebox wants to give them to me.
Look at how retarded these Malabar coast turned out
Idk if they're supposed to be this short, if I'm fucking up something in the fruiting condition area as well, or if these are just retarded genes.
All in all, I'm pretty content. It looked like shit and now it looks like a very subpar grow. With this being my first fruits thats I got from spore to agar to this I think I did alrigh. Considering these fruits came from maybe my 10th time doing agar, got a ton of bacteria, got the transfers away from that, then had mold take over the other jars I had, to the funky ass mycelium in the black tray, to my idea of just "super spawning" (not really super spawning, maybe re-spawning?) as an experiment. Hopefully I'll have better pictures soon

I'm currently reading "Entangled Life" by Merlin Sheldrake where he among other things writes about how mycelium can choose directions depending on nutritional prospects. I think that's what this picture shows. The mycelium neglects the hyphae growing away from the mushroom and strengthens those growing towards it.
