Joe Rogan left too, probably brought some friends along. He's got a large audience, I can assure you some of them live in California.

Gavin Newsome is under a lot of pressure and he isn't doing himself any favors by issuing all these restrictions and not following them himself.

People see that. And when Gavin Newsome says to cancel Thanksgiving while he goes out to dinner?

You expect Californians to take him serious?

People are willing to pay the most to live in California.  A USA Today article published this year shows 11 of the 12 most expensive metro areas are in California:

1. San Jose-Sunnyvale-Santa Clara, CA metro area
2. San Francisco-Oakland-Hayward, CA metro area
3. Oxnard-Thousand Oaks-Ventura, CA metro area
4. San Diego-Carlsbad, CA metro area
5. Santa Rosa, CA metro area

I am in a minority on the shroomery, as I frequently defend the opposing side when they have a point about something or when my side make believes something about them.  I also attack my side if I think they're wrong.  People here get very confused by that and think it means I prefer the other side.

What does that have to do with California. The entire world has made adjustments for the pandemic.

Rolling blackouts are a thing in lots of areas where electricity demand is highly variable. Here in the DC area the power company gives you a slight discount on your rate if you let them install a device that lets them disable your air conditioner if the demand for power is too high.

Malibu is kind of a shithole though. I'm baffled that property is expensive as it is there. I'd take living at the beach in Oxnard or Ventura over Malibu any day.

California unemployment rates are ~9.3%, being the largest population.

New York, I assume will be second in population size. Unemployment in New York is ~9.6%.

Florida is number three. Unemployment rate of Florida is ~6.5%.

What are some differences between these three states?

One difference is Florida has a median household income $20,000 lower than California, and $12,000 lower than New York

Or maybe you mean the difference between minimum wage in Florida compared to New York and California, which is $3 per hour.

And New York is the fourth largest state after California, Texas and Florida.
