Hey folks, thanks in advance for your input. Here's a bit of background/info; I'm waiting on the full colonization of 2 separate "unmodified monotubs" that I transferred about 10 days ago from sterile rye berry bags I colonized from a spore syringe. Also, I'm using a sterilized mix of verm, coir, and manure as bulk substrate. So far everything looks good to me, I've been keeping a steady soil temp average of about 72 Fahrenheit and about 40-50% humidity average in the room. I'll attach pics below. Any input/advice/criticism/validation is greatly appreciated as this is my first shot and I'm a total novice. mush love

Hey! Looking nice! Make sure you’re not having that heating mat on too high... Some people aren’t fans of heating mats for their grows, but I think you’re good if it’s not too hot. Keep us updated on those grows! Cheers and good vibes!

You should crack those lids you need some FAE. Check out Bods TEK on the unmodified tubs.

Just keep an eye on those for now. IMO it looks like bruising. But always good to make sure Someone please let me know if I’m wrong. Cheers!

Ditch the heating mat all together....causes more harm than good.
Conditions look super wet inside the tubs...those spots you circled look very sus to me.
Manure isn't going to give you significant gains with cubes and if not prepped correctly makes mold easier to populate...Coir or coir verm is all you need.

thanks for the reply. I ditched the heat pad last night when I found the spots. Had just cracked the lids and all the condensation on the lid from being closed had rained down onto the substrate which is why it looked so wet. I will keep an eye and post pics of development/spots. do you guys think I should trash it? is it saveable?

Don’t trash it until you clearly see any contamination spreading... But as the TC above pointed out, the spots do look a bit sus. Don’t give up yet, good point on the heating mat and I’m glad you got rid of it. But also do be prepared to trash that thing. Cheers!

Pics related

the blue spots are the same size and now being covered or grown over by myc
do you guys think I should scoop out the tiny blue spots before more pins pop up? if I leave them will the fruits near them be okay?
I appreciate any input/advice

I'm still new as well but I've generally heard that scooping out possible contam isn't going to do much since if it is contam there is probably more that you can't see.
Seems like a good sign if myc is growing over it. I'd say leave it and hope for the best.
The fruits are fine as long as there is no sign of contam on the fruits themselves.
