Hi guys, found these mushes growing on cow dung and it was identified on the mushroom identifier app as dung loving psilocybe. Just wanted a positive id from someone more experienced.

Possibly a species of Deconica, like D. coprophila.
But we'll need a gill shot to tell more. Mind you, the app might give a pointer but should not be used as confirmation.
It is not psychoactive at any rate.

I dont recall them being referred to as active hardly anywhere, are you referring to them being psilocybe? If so then you should understand that psilocybe was once a genus of both active and inactive mushrooms. As we understand more and more about fungi they have changed things around and now psilocybe is a mostly active genus barring I think 1 mushroom that doesn't have a home yet. Psilocybe coprophila is a defunct name as it is deconica coprophila as of current. Always compare to places like mushroomexpert.com or inaturalist as they'll have the most current names

There are in fact field guides for sale that claim several Deconica species, and even the blue Stropharia, as being hallucinogenic. The problem being, I believe, that said literature uses out-of-date and incorrect sources for these kind of species.
One of these is the esteemed "Collins guide to Fungi".
All I can say is that field guides seem generally poor when it comes to the identification psychoactive mushrooms.
