Does anyone else feel like they should dose again every couple years? Like for mental health reasons

Mushrooms have helped me so much in the past.. its like they reset my way of thinking, in a good way.
I feel like I've lost touch with myself, lost what I learned from my experiences in the past that have made me a better person. I feel like I want to go on another journey but I'm anxious about it. Like I want it for the emotional experience of it. Visuals sometimes scared me in the past.. anyway. Just wondering if anyone else feels this or has any advice.

Yes. Too long from last one here too. Imho 3-4 times a year is good cycle. Now like 2 years or more for me all so.

Yeah bro I gradually drift from the psychedelic teachings given enough time. I. Just started eating a decent amount of lsd and dmt. It has been good for my mental health.

Yeah, feeling the same. It's normal to feel anxious, I think it could be a fear of change, which after a journey is almost always positive. So if you think about it in that way, there's nothing to worry about.
Sometimes, you just gotta take that step and go for it.

I feel like not using anymore, after 1 year of not dosing.
Granted, it may change.

I can't even go a year, I get the urge and declining mental state in about 3 months. My anxiety and depression gets worse and I know its time for a trip. Sometimes a nice easy 1or 3 hits or a couple grams of shrooms will do it, I like to call that a reset. Other times I need a quarter+ shrooms or 10+ hits of acid to feel better, I call that a reboot. Been doing it for 25 years.

Just started coming down from my first trip in two years and find myself logging in here. Good to see there are still many familiar members.

Not even every couple years, but more like several times a year lol.
The very "best" I've ever been in regards to mental health, clarity of mind, sharp/enhanced cognition, in a good mood and high spirits, outgoing, engaged with life/the world, setting goals, feeling connected to my "true self"/soul, feeling connected to my fellow brothers & sisters and the planet and the cosmos, being in a state of "flow", and basically feeling all the enchantment and magic of existence/life...
....was about 5 to 6 years ago when I was working with mushrooms about once a month or so.
Over the past 3 years I haven't worked with/had sessions with psychedelics much at all...I've only had two trips so far this year, the least I've had since I first started to work with psychedelics somewhat regularly back around 2009.
Having mushrooms or LSD or mescaline as part of my life really helps keep things sharp and connected for me...Ideally 4 to 6 trips a year, but once a month is my preferred frequency and I usually dose two days in a row when I do (tho two separate days/doses, I do kinda consider it to be "one trip" lol).
I've just been in a tough spot the past few years and haven't had the opportunity to dose much. I def have fallen out of touch a bit with myself and feel there's lots of cobwebs & dust I need to clean out....
I'm looking forward to diving back into myself and the cosmos after the new year, lots of work to be done.
Tripping once a month keeps me so sharp and motivated and uplifted. It's medicine for my soul, body, and mind.....Like being slapped with a tuning fork from "god" . Keeps me in tune for sure!

My last trip was an acid trip over 3 years ago and I rarely consider dosing again. every once in a while I consider it but some of my obvious flaws that havent yet been resolved will just be staring me in the face. I dont need to dread over problems I already know about. I need to fix them then discover new problems to work on.
I feel like if you hit the reset button every time you enounter a rough patch that requires some work you will never finish a rough draft of yourself which you can reflect then improve upon.

That's a really good point. I had never thought of it this way before.

I used entheogens intensively from 1993 to 2019, so for 26 years, and I very much experienced trips and dissociative experiences as a process where you jostle aspects of your personality loose and then reintegrate them to a hopeully better integrated whole.
So a kind of reset/reboot.
This is also exactly as therapy with psychedelics views the psychedelic process.
When I quit I took the ultimate trip in the ultimate boosting regimen to completely plow my whole psychology loose down to the bedrock of rock bottom, and then zip it up one final time to a re-re-re-reintegrated whole from the foundation anchors to the chimneytop.
And then: GO WITH THAT.
Not keep on plowing and resetting but GOING with the definitive clean reinstall.|
If you trip too frequently you are building and demolishing your psychology at the same time.
The natural integration period for a trip is about 2 weeks to 3 months for most people. Only if you adhere to the integration tempo of your brain will you truly finish a build before you deconstruct it again.
It is important to function with your finished, rebuilt psychological constellation a bit before taking it down again.
If you break down while building up its like pressing the accellerator and brake at the same time, you'll demolish your vehicle.

Short answer is yes. Even though I haven't wanted to "trip balls" in years I have wanted to have like 3gs of mushies here and there for anxiety and depression reasons but haven't been able to afford it.

OP, of course you need to redose. This is not a cure but a treatment. Treatment needs to be miniumum once a year IMO. Ideally every 2-3 months. Sometimes life does not allow that.
Dang, Seriously, sorry to hear that. You don't have local shroomerites that could help you with that or something? Lol.

I feel like its going to take at least 3-5 years before I'll trip again. Unless I say fuck it and smoke DMT one of these nights. but anything that lasts longer than that probably not.
