Unmodified 54q mono with pics

Just spawned these tubs 3 days ago. I followed bods unmodified tek using about 7 quarts of wbs to one brick of coir and 2 quarts vermiculite.
Just want to get opinions on how it looks I've never used a liner before this so hope everything works out.
Sorry about the pics not being the best quality.

Looks a little dry, but otherwise pretty good. If you use a pseudo casing of straight coco (1-2qts) at spawn next time, it will help with the moisture retention and you'll likely get a better pinset at the same time (it also reduces the factor).
What does your FAE/lid situation look like? These tubs seem fairly sensitive to air currents in rooms so you may have to adapt to your environment somewhat.
Can you take the lid off and get a pic of the surface with the flash on?

Yeah I was going to do the casing layer but I was seeing different opinions on it so I did 3 tubs with no layer and I'm about to do 3 more with a casing layer just want to see different outcomes.
I'm using the 54 qt sterlite air tight totes. I have the lids flipped upside down on the top of the tubs.
This is the lid setup leaves a small gap all around the tub:

These are 3 different tubs by the way:

Maybe it's the pics, but they look dry as well. Typically at that point of colonization, you will have condensation forming on the walls of the tub from the heat difference. If the coco was at FC when you spawned, you may have some drafts that are drying them out.
Some people use pieces of wire and other standoffs for the 54qt sterlite tubs to better adjust the FAE. Mine will sometimes dry out if I don't make sure the lids are on exactly correct or if I don't mist the top layer thoroughly at spawning.
You can take those lid catches off with a little pry action...removing them makes it alot easier to slide the tubs in and out without grabbing the tub next to them.

Do you suggest I mist now? I usually wait until a week or so after spawning then I start to mist but this is my first time with these new tubs.
Yeah that's definitely something I'm going to do they're getting a little tight in the area I have them in now.

If they look dry to you, yes I would mist them. I suspect this is the case without a top layer; but I'll leave that to your judgement.
