It's good to keep a buddy like that around, you know that no matter how trippy things get they are gonna be with it and keep the peace.
Do cyans like pine? I sprayed a huge mulch pile with my super soaker, it was mostly pine wondering if they will take.

I didn't have paralysis, but I definitely had functional blindness.

Bro, sorry I forgot, but was it you who I got my Azzies from? It was 3 years ago and they were these very wet skinny Azzie fruits, like 4 of them in the photo, and I received a print from those. I'm pretty sure it was you but I'm not completely sure.

Well your azzies are chunky as fuck... Interesting that the original fruit that made the print was skinny.

What is the best method of generating bulk amounts of spawn to spread into a giant bed? I’m landscaping a 2500 sq foot area and mulching it with a mix of hardwood chips, but need good advice on creating mass amounts of clean spawn. Please , before barraging me with the “UTSF” or “just google it”, just realize that I have made and know how to make sterile spawn with grains and wood chips. However, it always seems to me that there must be a much more efficient method of generating mass amounts of quality spawn or inoculating large outdoor areas. What would be the most time efficient method of colonizing such a large area? Would grinding colonized grains and mixing the mycelium into 5 gallon jugs of water do the trick for mass inoculation of a large outdoor bed? How would you guys personally go about inoculating a giant outdoor bed of chips, that is fully accessible at any time? Any advice would be appreciated!

Fastest way would be to transplant intact sections of a preexisting mycelium network with pins and all. You could also spray the area with spores or liquid culture but then you will have to wait for it to colonize before you get fruits.

could use LI, agar puck shoock up in water{sterile}. Grain spawn would be your best route in my opinion. Super aggresive at that stage and wouldn't take as much as you think. Start several areas and they will spread fast.

Thanks for the advice guys. I’ve thought about sticking straight grain spawn in the outdoor beds but was under the impression that birds or other critters may eat the grains. That’s the main reason I was trying to avoid doing that . I may give it a shot just to see how it goes! & I’m not really looking to transplant. The local patches already seem to be dwindling from over picking. I may just have to experiment and report back with what works best! Thanks again.

I've tried this and it didnt work. it wasn't LI but LC but I think the change in environment is too big for the mycelium. like you would ween tissue cultured plants before they go in the greenhouse or on the land so do you have to ween the mycelium. I'm not sure about this, just that it didn't work in my case.
I've tried this with coprinus, eryngii, cyanescens, ...

Your grains will colonize sawdust real quick. Spawn to sawdust or hwfp like you would a mono and take it outside when its ready.

I've finally found who I have gotten my Azzies from. They are from Primal Call. Damn, he's not been around for 1 year and 1 month now. I hope he's doing alright!
This is his pic, I have received the print from one of these fruits.

Guys,
I'm attempting to grow cyanescens in an outdoor, alder chip tub. Last night it was in the low 40's in San Francisco. This morning, to my horror, I discovered this growing in the chips.
What the hell is it? Can anyone identify this odd beastie? Should I remove it? Please advise.
Thanks,
Tom

Guys,
I appreciate your input. The tub is on my polycarbonate deck on the top floor of a four story building. The tub is elevated two inches above the deck on wooden dowels. There is no soil or foliage anywhere nearby.
I haven't seen any slugs. There are tiny bugs, like gnats or fruit flies, crawling on the chips and flying near the tub. I kill them every chance I get. And I have spiders living around the lip of the tub that should help with critter control.
They do look like eggs. If they are bug eggs, should I remove them? What kind of bugs eat mycelium or shrooms?
Thanks again.
