I’m just looking at the spotty white growth in the bag that looks odd to me but it I’ve been running so many different species lately maybe I’m wrong. I have seen some strange white growth contaminate on old agar plates that have been left too long in open air and the paradigm rips, the growth looks a lot like mycelium but isn’t.

This is the growth I’m talking about here
Now this last one I was unsure about but this super fast white growth started on the germ plate day 2 after the swab and quickly filled the plate in a just 4 or so days. I saw other growth forming that was slower so thinking that might be the myc I transferred it and this is the transfer plate. I’ve been too sceptical to attempt another transfer.

Makes think something might have been traveling with the transfers on the plate. But also I haven’t been doing pans that much lately and might have forgotten
Looks good CE. This is a really vigorous variety. I've run about 10 varieties of cyans and a few cambs and these are certainly one of the best ime.

I agree the jar looks good but that bag definitely looks funky. Gotta be bacteria right? I had a plate look similar recently, colonized fine but suddenly all the growth kinda sucked up and got smooth looking.

Doing pan cakes better. Sterilizable trays injection ports installed. These are for some other projects too but I’d like to see the result of never having to break down spawn or grain at all and what (if any) effect that might have on yield or subsequent flushes. I don’t believe it will make a lot of difference.

Have you tried this method before? My guess is that it's gonna take forever if you inoculate those 1200ml containers from only one inoculation spot.

I made sure there’s enough room to move the needle around and squirt all sides of the container. Also there’s only one injection port on 5lb bulk bags but they do alright. Also I’ve done lots of bulk bags a bulk tray shouldn’t be any different

That's how I do my grows. But in 300ml containers and inoculate with agar wedge. I have 100%success rate so far.

So I was gonna toss my pan jars as they were taking too long to colonize, or what I thought was too long. I grabbed this picture of a jar I shook 3 days ago. Would this be a quick enough rebound worthy of a wait-and-watch or should I continue on with the plan of going back to the gar.

I’ve had quite a few jars that weren’t really any quicker than cubes, I just figure as long as it looks healthy I’ll let it go and spawn it unless I have a ton of grows going.
Nosferatu did you drop a wedge into some of those and then add sub on top?
I just got a ton of wide mouth half pint jars and some of those same rectangle Tupperware that I was planning on sterilizing sub in and then injecting li into but wedges on the bottom could work too.

Some peace river. The spawn for these was very bacterial, bad growth and sour smell like foul apples. Still some mushrooms that make spores for future.

God I love these. That cluster in the last pic is sick. Looks like there's 8 fruits coming out of it.

Wedges on top. The sub is sterilized in the containers. Sometimes I freez them until I'm ready to fruit some more.
