My growing setup and a few last minute questions about it...

Hi folks!
Look! I’m officially out of my jars and into substrate and/or fruiting chambers!
A nice little SGFC for a couple cakes. I’m gonna mist 3 times a day. I’ve heard fanning is outdated.

A 1:2 ratio shoebox made from coir and BRF cakes. Casing layer of coir used. I put it in “fruiting conditions” right away with the lid unsnapped, but I was wondering if it needed more than that, like the lid upside down?

Another shoebox, this time less spawn and substrate, and about a 1:3 ratio for experimental purposes. Casing layer of coir used as well. I’m wondering the same here, should I flip the lid or just leave unlatched like I have?
And a little bit of coir and a bit of spawn. Most likely 1:2.5 ratio. Just a little experiment to see how little a “shoebox” can be.
So in case you missed my questions in there: 3 times a day misting for the SGFC? And no fanning? Outdated? Flip the lid upside down for my shoeboxes or leave as I have them? Oh and one more, my temp is 75 degrees. Is that all good for both the SGFC and the shoebox colonization? Any other tips, criticism or encouragement is welcome! Patience is hard for me but this hobby requires it, and it has taught me to be more patient. Now time to keep learning the art of mycology.
Cheers!

For the shoebox, just leave the lid as is. Hell even latch the lid if you want it would probably work fine, but unlatched works too. Only flip the lid if your mushrooms start getting fuzzy feet or are super long & skinny/not very thick.
For the SGFC, you are correct that fanning is outdated. Don't mist 3x a day, or 4x, or 1x, just mist when they cakes look dry. You are not supposed to go by time but by how they look. Anytime they look like the "dry" picture in this link: https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/21595437 mist them until they look like the "glistening with moisture picture. Now wait until they get dry again. I made the mistake of endlessly keeping the cakes at the "glistening with moisture stage" but you actually want them to go through cycles of being moist and then drying out a bit.
75 degrees is fine. Anywhere within room temperature the mushrooms will colonize and grow just fine. if you are comfortable so are the mushrooms.
The only other tip I have, which has more to do with preference, is throw the SGFC out and just fruit to shoeboxes. Yields are way better (easily an ounce dry per flush), they take up less space, and you can set and forget them, avoiding the need to mist multiple times a day. Hell you could go on vacation for a few days and come back with fruits ready to harvest. This isn't to say it isn't a good idea to check on shoeboxes if you're home/have the time. Oh also, no more dealing with annoying perlite and a massive eye sore in the corner of your room.

Hey Rhizomorph! Glad I can just leave the shoebox as is! I believe I only mist a few times as the substrate gets dry, correct? The SGFC. I’ll ditch it next grow. Perlite is awful to work with and better yields are always great. And I’ll be sure not to mist on a time schedule, but on what the cakes need. Cheers!

For misting the shoebox if you set it up right I doubt you'll need to rehydrate it whatsoever until the first flush/right after the first harvest. Every now and then you might get a box that you need to mist once somewhere in between if it looks dry. With time you'll get an idea what this looks like.
Good luck!
