Do you currently hunt? I use a rifle for now because its a highly efficient meat harvesting tool. Bow hunting is more of a challenge and I'd like to go that route someday but for a quick clean kill where I get to harvest as much meat as possible, I'll stick to a rifle for now. There's so many deer in residential areas I live in, there's lots of wooded areas for the deer to live in around neighborhoods. I think about crossbow hunting at night, but its so illegal and if you're caught its a pretty hefty fine...
I also do all my own processing and packaging. I even have a grinder for making burger meat. I'm the only one who puts hands on the meat until its on the plate.

I used to eat steak, burgers, chicken, turkey, and ham frequently, but after spending a lot of time alone to think...

our planet cant fucking sustain an all plant diet. You're not gonna feed the whole earth off some wack ass fuckin tofu, in doing that you are going to have to destroy massive amounts of forests and animals habitats. Besides, wait till there is a drout of some kind or a volcano erupts and the ash blocks the sky, now you're done. Fuck vegans. Maybe if they ate some fuckin meat they would realize how dumb they sound
You sound pretty ignorant actually.
The points you made don't hold any weight and don't make any sense.
Are you at all aware of how much water and energy it takes to grow just one single pound of meat?
There are various #s/figures....but somewhere along the lines of 2,500 gallons of water, 12 pounds of grain, 35 pounds of topsoil and the energy equivalent of one gallon of gasoline to produce one pound of feedlot beef....And it takes about 500 gallons of water to raise one pound of chicken. If I was given an equivalent amount of resources I guarantee I can grow waaay more than a pound of plant based food.
The amount of land and water and energy that it takes to feed all the animals within the meat industry is WAY more land & water & energy than it would take to grow plants if every human was on a plant based diet.
Raising meat is incredibly inefficient and takes a tremendous amount of resources versus growing plants. It takes a huge amount of acres just to grow the feed for animals and it takes a massive amount of water to grow those plants that are fed to the animals. The amount of acres and water that it takes to grow meat can grow waaaaay more nutritious food for humans. Why grow several thousands acres of just corn or soy and use millions upon millions of gallons of water when all that land & water can be used to grow a diverse range of nutritious & delicious plants?
If there's a drought, then how are animals going to eat and drink? How is a farmer going to feed and water his livestock if there's no food or water available?
And if there was a drought...why would one want use the little available water to grow an entire field of soy beans just to feed a cow when that water can grow an entire garden of diverse nutritious foods?
There are so many aspects within the meat industry that are detrimental to our planet. Those points I made are just in regards to the massive amounts of land and water and energy that is required to raise meat. Then there's the atmospheric pollution aspect, cows produce 501,593 metric tons of methane per 1 billion kilograms of beef produced. That amounts to about 0.126 pounds of methane for every quarter-pound hamburger you eat, that is a relatively huge amount of methane for a tiny piece of meat....Then there's the aspect of the soil/earth being destroyed by the synthetic/salt based ferts used to grow wide expanses of nothing but grains...Then there's the aspect of all the pesticides that are dumped on those crops and the impact they have on local eco-systems....I can go on and on....The meat industry is filthy and destructive from beginning to end.
Growing and eating what plants offer us is tremendously more efficient and less destructive to our planet than corralling/caging up millions of animals and using millions of acres of land and billions of gallons of water.
I'm not saying people need to stop eating meat entirely, that is not at all what I'm going on about...Just saying people should cut back on the amount of meat they eat.

ShiVersblood said: Yeah I eat meat. I litterally would not even know what to eat at all whatsoever if I ate no meat. I would be way too paranoid about not getting all the vitamins and I don’t know too much about vitamins so it would be just way too complicated to try and understand. I know there are so vegan foods people say are healthy but I don’t want to be taking vitamin pills in a worst case scenario if I didn’t get enough vitamins that day. And vitamins from meat seems like it’s more natural than a vitamin pill not sure.
You make it sound like not eating meat is some huge drastic change in diet versus eating meat.......it is not at all.
Doing something like a carb-free diet or low-sugar diet any any other type of "diet" is way more restrictive and challenging than simply cutting out meat from one's diet.
I still eat all of the same foods I used to eat before I gave up meat. My diet hasn't really changed at all. I still eat Pizza, pasta, teriyaki stir fry and all sorts of other delicious asian-style dishes , burritos, soups, chilis, egg rolls, cookies, pastries, lasagna, sushi , calzones, cakes, pies, etc etc etc.
Plants are quite nutritious, just because once has cut out meat from their diet doesn't mean one is going to be eating only lettuce & carrots & tofu...The only vitamin I take is b-12 since I don't eat meat.
It is not a drastic change or difficult to do at all...again, I feel most people are addicted and totally stuck in the habit of meat being a requirement with every single meal they eat. Most people can't even manage to give up using plastic bags at the grocery store that they usually throw away as soon as they get home.
I get it...I still find meat to be a delicious thing, I understand lol, I love the smell of a tri-tip on a BBQ and the smell of chicken being fried...But since I'm aware of the destruction and filth involved with the meat industry I absolutely don't feel right supporting that industry with my $ and even more so I don't want the material from that industry going into and becoming a part of my body/system.

I eat meat quite a lot and think it's an essential part of eating for me personally. Meat makes some of the best dishes on earth and I love cooking so I couldn't imagine being vegan. I even get a tad mad if I have a fully vegetarian meal for dinner. Just has to do with the pleasure of taste.

I actually think meat is one of the healthier foods out there, if you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, a ruminate animal is the only ones that wont cause deficiencies, theres one chick named Mikhaila Peterson who is allergic to everything except beef, she only eats steaks with salt

Personally I get very sick when I don't balence it with vegetables but I have bad stomach problems to begin with so I can see in rare instances where it'd be better then a balanced diet

No I think my body would have a harder time with a vegan diet but all meat would screw with me too. I think a balanced diet is important

her story is interesting, she was diagnosed with juvenile rhumetoid arthritus in like kindergarten and severe depression when she was like 12, she had to get a hip replacement at like 17 cause the arthritus chewed through her joints, she would get super itchy and shit and was on like 10 medications, she started by cutting out gluten and started to restrict more and more till she was just eating like steaks, simple salads and apples, and all her symptoms went away, then she got pregnant and they all came back, then after her pregnancy she cut out everything but steak, and the symptoms cleared again, shes tried adding foods back in but the itchyness and depression comes back, she said soy is one of her favourite foods, so she tried to eat a miso soup with edamame, but she had some major reactions to that, and now she is deathly afraid of eating anything but beef
and on r/zerocarb and r/carnivore ive seen lots of claims that carnivore curing depression, theres another chick named Amber O'hearn whos eaten carnivore for like a decade and she said it cured her bipolar
the main reason I want to try carnivore for a few months is these mood disorder claims, I want to see if I feel happier on it or these claims are bunk, Im starting after the new year Jan 1st, I asked my mom and my grandmother for grocery store gidftcards for christmas preasents this year so I have some cash to afford it, I eat a lot cheaper diet right now

In general, yes, meat is loaded with good stuff.
But there's a big difference between one going out and hunting and killing a wild animal versus breeding billions & billions of animals and putting them in cages/corrals and tearing apart large swaths of our planet's land/forests to feed those animals and dumping billions of gallons of water into grain crops to feed those animals and dumping millions of tons of toxic salts/fertilizers into our soils.
The meat industry is not healthy for the planet and in the long run is quite detrimental to the well being of the biome we're all part of. If it is destructive to the biome, our home, then it is not inherently healthy for us AT ALL!
I feel that for something to be truly "healthy" it has to be harmonious and in balance with nature, not beneficial for only one single organism or one single species....But again, most folks don't care about much beyond their nose and for some reason can't see the bigger picture and holistic system of our planet/biome.
The meat industry is one of the many things that is essentially a disease to our planet, and people still go on with "but it's healthy for me!" .
We're not separate from the planet, and the planet/biome as a "whole" is very much alive...we're woven into and very much apart of it all, if our choices & actions cause destruction to our planet then we're essentially causing destruction to ourselves. I wish more people would wake up and open there eyes and minds and see the big picture that they're part of.

Well your pleasure of taste comes from nothing but death & destruction...There wasn't even ever any "life" in the meat you eat. And everything that went into the meat you ate caused nothing but destruction to our home.
You don't need to go full on vegan to lessen your impact/damage on the planet. I don't eat meat but I'm not a vegan at all.
Why do people think so black & white in regards to these sorts of things? There's talk about the topic that people should try to cut back on meat and people respond, "I could never go vegan". As if the only two options that exist are being a meat eater or going vegan and one has to choose one or the other .
I love the taste of meat too...but I can't justify supporting the destruction the meat industry causes to our planet or the imprisonment of billions of animals that never get to have a life just because I like the taste of something.
