Bright orange discoloration on GT monotub - Scrap grow or continue?

I’ve had this monotub in a dark closet for about 12 days. Was about ready to move to fruiting conditions and noticed this orange discoloration and large puffy areas.
Two tubs going, other one seems to be going better. This is my first grow using presterilized grain and substrate.

Any input would be greatly appreciated

Looks like some form of mold.
Without doing everything yourself its impossible to know what went wrong..
Everything in the hobby should be diy of you want consistent results

I can't comment on what that is exactly and I'm a noob but that color reminds me of the horrible mysterious orange cake I had on my very first attempt at growing (classic BRF). Never got an ID of what that was - I lean bacteria - but it sure never fruited. Is the consistency when you touch the myc usual ? mine was slightly more spongy.
Anyway, obviously wait for someone with more experience to chime in.

That looks like Neurospora crassa. It's sometimes called 'farmkiller' in commercial mushrooms farms because it's spreads extremely fast. I'd carefully throw it out and clean everything.

Thank y’all for the information.
I’ll throw it out and clean thoroughly.
