Haven't smoked a tobacco cigarette since I was 16 or so. I only smoked socially.

I've been quit for a couple years, but every now and then I have a momentary relapse. Usually just one cigarette, and then I'm back to being quit. Probably once a year.

I think I can honestly say I have.

I started smoking when I was 16 but it wasn't regularly at that point. By 18 I smoked a few a day but every day. I really never smoked like crazy but I would have one when I woke up, have one on my commute to work, have one during lunch break, etc. Probably like a quarter to half pack a day.

Eventually I only smoked when I drank or when I worked. So I would have one or two during a shift at work max but then like fucking 10 during a heavy drinking session. Still probably averaged half a pack a day, but it would fluctuate between like one pack in a whole night and 4 or 5 on a chill sober night. Maybe none if I wasn't working or drinking.

Then one fucking cold ass December night I was drunk as shit and just smoked the last cigarette I had. There was a decent amount of fresh snow on the ground and I was wearing my jammies. I still didn't have my winter tires on my bike. So I seriously stood in the middle of my living room debating whether to bundle up and put my winter tires on my bike so I could ride and get a fresh pack of cigs because I REALLY wanted to smoke another cig, or just go to bed. After about five minutes I opted for bed. I smoked maybe four or five times after that but I never bought another pack and a week or two later was the last time I ever smoked.

The biggest difference between the few times I've quit before and this last time is I've never even craved it. Now I'm just fucking disgusted by the thought of smoking.

I quit smoking cigarettes almost 15 years ago.

Best decision I ever made, to be honest.

Now I understand why an ex-smoker is the worst non-smoker ...

If I can do it so can you :kingcrankey:

quitting an addiction is a rite of passage for a drug user.

It strengthens the character and humbles while empowers the soul.

I never smoked cigarettes but I vaped for about 5 years. I just quit about a month ago and I noticed a big difference in the way I breathe. There was a sort of tightness in my chest that is gone now. I didn't even realize that it was there until I stopped. I can breathe though my nose easily now. I think vaping must have been causing some inflammation in my lungs and sinuses.

The biggest trigger that makes me want to vape is when I'm playing guitar writing music or jamming with friends. Stephen king said something about how quitting smoking was hard for him while writing and I can definitely relate.

Factory made cancer stick with additives?

YES!

Tobacco natural without additives in ceremonial context?

Dont think so.

Natural tobacco with weed?

Probably going to smoke some with weed when smoking again.

Smoked couple cigars with friend few days a go.
Did not felt so bad. But at this moment feel good about not smoking anything daily.

100 days Spicemaster, it takes typically 100 days of not smoking to become almost completely indifferent to it. 1/3 dow, the hardest, 2/3 to follow.

Don't succumb to that crap again.

No.

I dont smoke cigs though I put tobacco in a bong with weed on top. Its called a popper in Canada.

But I think im pretty close. I used to put basically a whole king sized cigarette (besides ehatever crumbs I dropped or which overflowed out the bowl) in a bowl with a bit of weed and rip it in one go. Im down to like a third of a cigarette now but I am using a little more weed to compensate. tapering really slowly allows you to never miss out on any satiafaction and never feel the need to relapse. I did it with kratom years ago. (incidentally I was unknowingly getting pulled in by nicotine at that time. so Hopefully once im off weed or vitamin N I dont suddenly find myself with some weird new addiction and end up on my strange addiction or something.)

The plan is to switch to nasal snuff and just a hit of weed. Ill put less and less weed until there is none over a long period of time. I literally went down to one daily dose of 0.2g with kratom by taking like 50mg less every week or something. I just lost any cravings over time because I had tapered down to such a low amount without even noticing a difference.

then once im off weed Ill work on completely eliminating nicotine.

then coffee will be my only chemical dependance and I'd be ok if I never kicked that one.

Vaping worked for me for a while but its a hassle, can be messy, it gives me heart burn and messes up a lot.

Im just going to do the super slow banana style taper. it wont help you quit tomorrow but it will help you quit easily alright.

As an ex addict I have 2 settings:

1) being constantly nagged to smoke, smoke a cigarette every 20-30 min, be very unhealthy.
2) not a trace of craving, not a microgram of nicotine in any way, be healthy.
