I hope at some point that animal agriculture is a thing of the past.

Heard thro the grapewine in future (new golden age) there will be genetically engeneered low vibratory animals to eat. By low vibratory i mean have no suffering no emotion or pain or fear.
Sorta like giant rabbits fat with meat.

They'll tell you you're eating mindless super rabbits but really it will be 3d printed soy protein.

Yeah that'd be cool. The fake stuff is getting pretty good. The impossible burger is pretty close to the taste and texture of beef such that you might not notice the difference if someone didn't tell you.

To meet the legal requirements to be free range, you only need to have access for the chickens to go outside even if they never leave the building.
The only way to ensure you are getting what you want is too raise them yourself but most all the chickens we eat today for commercial sale with breasts that are the size of your hand wouldn't survive a summers day outside.
The free range we think of as consumers is not what the law requires to be a free range commercial product. Remember we don't write these laws, the corporations lobbyists do.
A free range label is like giving the sleeping student an E for effort. Also a nice mark up in price like a brand name. I guess it's the thought that counts. Like that picture of the classic farmers red barn when in reality it's just a huge stinky ass grey shed filled with chicken that grow so fast there legs break from the weight of there own bodies.
But hey taste's good right and no blood on our axes.
I prefer a saki rubbed down cow that listens to slayer 8 hours a day, now that's some good hell bent for leather eating!!
