Yea sometimes there is some mineral build up in there guming it up. A solid flick usually does the trick

Idk how much it matters to people but it also makes it so it doesn't leave hard water marks on your jars

I do it every time. Vinegar for the hard water deposits and olive oil to lube the rim. Mediterranean style.

I put vinegar in my pc one time.

The smell made me vow to never do it again

It's not that bad, at least it doesn't bother me. What bothers me alright is having all my jars and PC coming out white.

I have to truck in my water from town in buckets and had to change sources because it was like mineral city.  Never seen anything like it.  Then started tightening up my usage and switched to water from the creek on our property and had absolutely zero deposits of any kind.  Felt like I won the lotto and reaffirmed my suspicion I could eventually successfully treat it for drinking.  :awegroove:

Yep helps save the bands too.

Now I gotta figure out how to get the glue off the pasta sauce jars. It seems to have melted and fused in a ring around the rest of the jars at water level.

Luckily I hit the jackpot at Walmart today so I can put the sauce jars on backup.

I confess I just let an entire quart of PEU LC go to shit.

Went to schlurp it into my 50ml when I noticed bubbling in the LC. Guess the lid wasn't tight enough and it decided to suck air through the threads instead of the whatman filter.

PSA -- I always run some hot water through my hand held, pressurized sprayer before misting my shoeboxes.  Yesterday, I half filled it, pressurized it, and sprayed for a while.  Then unscrewed the lid to dump the rest of the hot water -- while it was still pressurized.  Base slammed into the sink, water went everywhere and my wife is looking at me like 'WFT just happened?'.  Luckily there were no dishes in the sink, they would have been toast.

I confess I just tried to light a Lysol wipe with the torch.
Ya! It's not flammable. I have a bunch, so the idea is to put
a couple down on the rack to set plates and the cover on.
Supposedly making a wet barrier to contam particles floating around.

I confess i haven't had a single flush in a few months. Keep losing all my tubs to trich, i cannot figure out why, and i'm getting really fucking irritated. Got some experiments in the works to try and determine the source. Praying it's not my cultures intertwined with the shit!

Have you seen any fungus gnats flying around by chance? Tiny lil flies that suck at flying.

Two tubs (out of the last 20+) had fungus gnats. That was over a month ago, most recent round of tubs had no signs of em. It has to either be my spawn prep or sterile tek. Been using the same two cultures all year, the things that have changed are spawn+prep (switched from boiled oats to soaked WBS). Got the flowhood now so sterility should no longer be a concern, but even with the SAB my plates were <1% contam

Edit: 666 posts!:rockon: In celebration, i leave you with this.

Hearing this live fucking SLAYYYYYEEDDDDDD!

You sure you don't have a chunk of sub covered in spores hidden somewhere?
