My adventure of bottling shroom tea 4
#27037340 - 11/13/20 04:18 PM (3 years, 2 months ago) |

So I had the idea of bottling shroom tea.
I bought some bottles 12oz from Amazon and bottle caps and capper for $50
Boiled a dry oz of mush into 48 Oz's.
Then strained the tea with coffee filters into a Mason jar then squeezed mio into each container.
My math tells me that each bottle should have 7g of shroom tea in each.
I capped the bottles and put them into my presto on low for 1 hour 5-9psi. Caps did not blow off!
My friend is trying the bottle out tonight I will let you know how it goes. We are going to test a bottle every two weeks to see if it holds contam free and potancy.we figured do it every two weeks so his tolerance does not go up that high.

Here is what the finished product looks like and the mio makes the tea taste amazing!
Update #1 first week trial friend/ guinea pig split it with gf. Had a level 3 trip 1-5. Great visuals at 3.5g a piece.
Update #2 it has been three weeks since bottled and he and his girl have done bottle #2 same trip kind of the trip lasted about the same as the others but didn't get the rainbow effect on his phone this time. But all good don't think potancy was lost if any.
Will be spacing this last bottle out to two more weeks that way he can fully get it out of his system and see how the trip goes hoping we can store bottle's for up to two months.

I'm really amazed the bottles didn't burst in the PC. They do that sometimes from overcarbonation in homebrewing. I'm also surprised the cap seals held up. Good to know.

Pressure inside and outside is balanced. its higher outside the bottles as the PC heats but the inside eventually catches up as it heats too. On cool down the bottles will have a higher pressure than the cooker. But even shitty beer bottles hold 50+ psi

7g each sounds perfect. "Tea for two", as it were. Been hoping you'd pull the trigger on this experiment so thanks for taking the plunge. Had just seen someone else canning tea in pint jars a couple days after you mentioned this in your other posting (wondered if they'd seen your post and got a wild hair.. ). Anyway, very cool and definitely will be on this one.

Home brewing has carbonation... This is tea so it didn't over pressure at all or maybe it is my luck idk but the bottles stayed sealed and my buddy just checked in him and his gf are tripping balls so that's a+++. So 1 bottle 7g a bottle. Two heavy doses. He also reported the mio took all the taste out and taste great.
Also something about his phone screen looks rainbow ish??? Idk.
The real test is seeing if it holds potency.
I used brown glass so UV is protected
Also bought labels for the bottles. Will post pics in a min these labels are awsome $30 for 100 shipped! Gonna bottle all this extra shrooms for these 12 tubs I have way to much ended it with 2lbs 3oz dry first flush so yeah these 24 bottles are gonna be used up in a month if this holds.
Ok here is the label hope you guys enjoy!

Trippy ain't it!

This way might be the new way of saving out tea's!! I honestly hate straining it though.... Is there a faster way then freaking coffee filters?

Trippy ain't it!

You should spring for holographic labels on your next run. Had a friend draw these up for me and I love em. Pics don't really do it justice.

I'm really interested in how long these will hold potency too, especially after 2-3 months, even 6 months.
I'm surprised no one has tried this yet over the years?
Looking forward to some of your results!

Would you pm me where you had those made!! I have mine made in metallic... But not that nice I wanted something that people would stare at while tripping and be more tripped out!
And yeah that is what this adventure is about to see if I lose any strength a few months down the line. I have done everything in my power to make sure it stays the same the day I bottled it gonna start at 2 week intervals. 2x4=? 2 months... Hell if tea can last two months that's pritty good. And all honestly I don't see why not. It's seal 1st off 2nd it's seal air tight 3rd... I used brown bottle sunlight is a killer of acid and shrooms so I figured nothing can escape if it is air tight something has to escape for you to lose it...
It is pasteurized I didn't use sugar so no fermentation because I'm pritty sure mio is sugar free and kosher... So I don't see it rotting. I thought about this hard planned and budget. My bf was my taste dummy and the one who came up with mio as my flavors. It's strong and good enough to mask the taste of shrooms it is like drinking kool aid.
Sugar and yeast are what make things go bad with out proper cleaning/ pasteurization. I mean how does juices last months! I don't think these bottles will last months though without a fridge...
Also did gummies .1 each gummies 280 gummies for people I know who want to trip but not taste it. I have someone who is gonna eat 20 total and see what happens....
I want to start making different things I mean everyone and there mom has grown shrooms but I don't think to many people have though of ways to gift them. I'm making a bunch of bottles for Christmas for my friends sit around a campfire and have them share a bottle of peace tea! Spread the love and ☮️

Just ordered one... Same one you linked. Yeah now to figure out a pump source maybe something like a hand pump or a mini electric pump. This will make tea making so much easier. I'm ready for the holidays!

This is good stuff. Nice way to get some extra use out the PC too. Who knew they aren't just for sterilising stuff.
Look forward to the updates on how your peace tea holds up.

Just wait there is more to come! Been studying about certo talked to a very old lady today and found out that a little certo very very little actually kills all bacteria she said she has canned for 35years and most of her stuff holds up for up to 1 year no issues. Has me thinking what's in the stuff to actually make it hold that long? And then the next idea came up!! Shroom jelly!!!! Morning breakfast delight! A toast and little jelly!! Cup of coffee and a good 4 hours of meditation! Personally pulling for apricot jelly. Maybe do a half oz per jar so each spread is a micro dose iv learned how to kill all taste so you can enjoy the meal with out the taste of it. It is amazing how you can extract it so easily gonna start experimenting more. Since I grew way way to much so I have about a lb dryed to fuck up. Be on the look out for my post of different ways to prepare your shrooms. My BF is gonna hate me when I'm done he won't wanna look at another shroom again. Gummies, choco, bottled tea, jelly. I swear the fridge will never be safe again. Btw has anyone figured out how to make it almost pure? Iv read the alcohol extraction. But idk how well that hold up. Wouldn't mind making one 000 pill = 7g dryed I know you can make a pill with .6 dryed.

In 6 months I will have already had my kid so I'm gonna be the guinea pig lol I don't see why they wouldn't hold up. No suger no yeast proper pasteurization/sterilized. Isn't the bacteria the cause of most contamination? The only thing I'm worryed about is potancy if it will be just as strong as 2 months ago. Or even 6 months. But I'm shooting for 2 months if you need to keep tea more the 2 months then that's you're problem and if you used dry product to make tea for 6 months out then your crazy why would you make the tea for 6 months in advanced?? I can picture 2 months maybe 3 but 6??? Damn orange juice don't last no 6 months lol.

Equipment?? A bottle topper and some bottles/caps.... Not much lol.
And mindfuck? 3.5 of tea is not actually that much 3.5 of dryed hits way harder or is it just me. When you boil and extract I think you lose some of the potancy. Also tea seems to hit me not as hard but it does hit me fast and the peak is quick.
I'm doing this for gifts and for storage I'm hoping after 2 months it holds up it would be nice to run it and be able to store it for a few months.

Simply saying equipment is enough to encompass bottles, caps, topper, pastel/mortar, scale, measuring devices, etc. I am equipped to grow mushrooms and equipped to brew beer. Now it seems I am equipped to brew mushroom beer.

I soaked a half oz in a cup of orange juice and tried it the next day... Shit was HORRIBLE. Only drank a big mouthful and felt pretty trippy off of just that. Put the rest back in my mini fridge and the next day it went from looking like OJ to looking more like blue toilet bowl cleaner and it smelled like sour earth. I ended up dumping it into the lawn to see if I can accelerate evolution in the yard.

Yes my test dummy has shared it will his gf split between two... Taste great was bottled for 4 days at that point also orange juice is auger and acid. I don't think it would taste good after a day with shrooms mine is just sugar free mio takes all the taste away makes it taste like great kool aid!

Yes my test dummy has shared it will his gf split between two... Taste great was bottled for 4 days at that point also orange juice is auger and acid. I don't think it would taste good after a day with shrooms mine is just sugar free mio takes all the taste away makes it taste like great kool aid!
Was there tripping in addition to the great Kool-Aid taste?

Can't keep a girl out the kitchen I'm always throwing things together even if nobody like it. And bottles hold 50psi! O yeah gonna get that tea fizzy bubbly!!! I'm not going to like though might trick my older brother into drinking a whole bottle! He already does shrooms and says "I can handle anything!" Hehehe 😉 ok sure macho man here is 7g of tea.
Btw ordered that vacuum filter and pump for extractions so excited no more waiting hours and hours for a freaking coffee filter. God I'm not gonna miss it.
Phone was rainbow. Colored like polarized he tripped pritty good his girl got the giggles pritty hard then chain reaction. I wasn't even tripping and I was even laughing. They loved it from what they deceived it was a level 3 trip good visual but intense body high that I guess came in waves. He did comment he kept hearing ringing in his ears here and there.

No shroom taste what so ever. You could drink the whole bottle and never guess what was in it. I used 3/4 bottle of mio per 48oz tea. Strawberry kiwi.
I was honestly suprized when he told me it taste just like kool aid.

I was kind of concerned about the quality of the seals for that model, but if it works like a charm then I might snag one myself.

I don't think the seals will be a issue I mean run the pump first create a vacuum so we're can water really go as long as you don't pour the water first then run the vacuum you should be fine imo. Think of turning a cup full of water upside down on a counter. The cup is full but no water comes out if you know what I'm talking about?

This thread caught my attention ! I brew beer with a couple of friends so I'm wondering if I could combine the two. I don't know how the fermentation process would impact the alkaloids though. I guess I'll have to try it out when we brew our next batch and I'll let you know for sure !

Update same buddy who did the bottle with his girlfriend now has done bottle #2 he says it was the same trip kind of the Time again longativity of it. Didn't get the rainbow phone this time but had great visuals. So I would think the potancy held well for three weeks. So it is holding now for almost a month......

Why not just make it into a soda with a carbonation machine.... I mean why fermentation with mushrooms yuck! Plus I don't think it is smart to mix mushrooms with alcohol. I never tryed it and I don't ever mix drugs except weed and mushrooms. Weed and beer. Weed + whatever. Iv had someone die with pills and beer. Something about never do two downers.

The highest dose I ever took was when I was very drunk and got in a fight with my then girlfriend. In retrospect that’s obviously a terrible idea, entering into a trip in a bad mindset, but I was drunk enough that I wasn’t thinking clearly.
However, it ended up being the best trip I’ve ever had. I have a tendency to get very anxious during mid- to high-level trips, because I fear that the trip will turn into a bad one, even if I’m not experiencing anything that would send me into a bad trip. My only conclusion is that being drunk relaxed me enough to not be concerned and I never had any negative thoughts at all.
Obviously YMMV, I’m not recommending that everyone go out and start taking heroic doses with a pint of vodka, but that’s definitely a memory that I have of my most intense and most enjoyable trip ever.
Also, mixing shrooms with MDMA is amazing lol

Look forward to the updates on how your peace tea holds up.
The only reason I even have a PC is because I needed a huge pot to mash grains in for homebrewing, and the PC ended up being the cheapest big pot I could find at the time.
Now I'm sterilising grains, making jam, cooking stew and totally up for bottling shroom tea. Best £30 I ever spent.

Yeah mixing benzos with alcohol or opiates is what takes out most people ime.
You get that synergy going on.
A doctor told me it’s actually almost impossible to die from a straight Xanax overdose but if you add half a beer it’s all over.
I’m curious how the taste and trip change over time with this tea.

The taste is the same from what I hear and it's almost at a month and the trip is very close to the same.
Yes you can not OD on benzo's my friend ate a 60 day script trying to kill her self all she did was pass out for 2 days.... That's 60 bars 2mg a piece. Now if she would have drank a beer first then yes.

Lol this is a controlled experiment. Using the same friend every two weeks. I can't trip for another two months.... I'm pregnant. Or I would be the test dummy. Plus I trust his opinion as he has been eating my shrooms for a little over 4 years. He can always tell what's different iv had people tell me a batch was bunk/weak then that same friend will call them out on the lie.
That's also the same friend that told the dude that said the batch was bunk gave the kid a full 5g and told him if it's bunk then take this and the kid said hell no lol. So yeah

Just one bottle spoiled but it's also been close to almost 2 months. When pour the bottle there was a gooey substance inside the bottle kind of darkish black. I mean it was just the last bottle so technically it's fold after six and a half weeks. He was going to drink it this week. Potency held fine through 6 weeks and stored fine for 6 weeks. My observation is I might have not filtered it better because I just use coffee filters for the tea strain. Going to try it with the new vacuum pump I have soon.

Are you storing this in the fridge?
I run a nano soda brewery. To get my kegs shelf stable for just a few weeks I have to pasturise the tea, sterile filter it hot, and fill the kegs hot.
Shelf stability is notoriously hard to achieve without alcohol in the bottle.

That's what I used to do the blue juice. Pasteurization was pretty simple I just sterilized it practically by just putting it in the pressure cooker for 15 minutes. I honestly believe what happened was that I still had little bits of pieces of mushroom in my extraction because I did not filter it all the way using cheap coffee filters and a few of them broke.

Mine stored almost for 2 months.... That's an achievement. Also yes it was in the fridge for those 2 months.

2 months is long enough I reckon, but I was looking into some methods to extend shelf life...
Here is a recipe I found, I bet you could do it all in a PC: https://www.homebrewtalk.com/threads/how-to-bottle-iced-tea.115033/post-2179566
Some talk of using Campden tablets too, but these are primarily in wine making: https://www.midwestsupplies.com/blogs/bottled-knowledge/what-is-the-purpose-of-using-campden-tablets
My favorite solution to long term storage was creating concentrated tea and freezing it. When you want a glass / dose just add water!

See I wanted to make something out of the shrooms that didn't look pritty you know the ones your to lazy to harvest then next day look black af. I wanted them as Christmas presents so people don't have to drink then the day/week you give them. Two months is a long time your milk don't last that long. And if someone is not doing the tea in two months then they are not true shroom trippers
