Early Morning Mycology Thread

Since we lost the "Midnight Mycology" thread, let's try something different and start the "Early Morning Mycology" thread.
This is a place for those of us weird fucks that are up super early in the morning, trying to get transfers done and bags inoculated before starting our days.
But just as some of us start our days with mycology, some others end it that way. It just happens that their days are ending when my day is getting started.
Either way, if you're up early in the morning and wanna post your trials and tribulations, feel free to do it in this thread. I'll get it started:

Using up the last of my natalensis print gifted to me by a very well-respected cultivator around these parts. Also swabbed some Amazon from the same guy. Hoping to get some great growth and try out WBS since rye has been giving me problems.

I love it. Thanks for catering to the night owls out there. Double post but this belongs here: Wrapping up cultures, taking a dab and heading to bed. Take it easy folks.

Nothing wrong with that. Coffee and bowls is a good way to start the day. The weed balances out the jitters i get from the coffee

haven't capped any microdoses since I ran out of what I made a couple months ago just started MD again, yesterday and today
.1 yesterday .15 today
it feels almost uncomfortably jittery sitting here to type. Seems to always be like that when I MD
anyways, I opened a bag of mush this morning and ate a cap...does that count for early morning mycology

I’m on this weird schedule where I wake up around 2am and drink redbull and mess with cult stuff and listen to podcasts for an hour or two. Then it’s gym half the time, methadone and weed candy and back in bed by 4 til my drugs hit and I pass back out for a couple hours.
What happened to the midnight thread? It never seemed very active probably cuz people on here are from all over but still.
I’m in a boring phase right now where I’m waiting for spores to germinate, transfers to grow, spawn to finish and pans to pin.
I did just finally go through my first case of plates though which took about a year. And tomorrow is exactly a year since my first harvest. Gonna eat some of that first batch and see how they held up.

If I could just cut this whole 7:30 to 4 job thing out of my day...such a drag on my cult time
but 90% of time I'm on here is while I'm at work
The midnight thread just hit the cutoff mark for replying without the prompt I think its like 3 pages back in my threads
someone can say something and bring it back to life

I'm always surprised when people can make a case last more than a month or two... I understand that not everyone can afford it or isn't doing that much work... but for me, I'm lucky if a case lasts more that 2 months... but I'm doing all sorts of clone hunting and isolation projects along with about 20 regular projects... lol

I use pasty plates because they're easy enough for me to re-use, so I don't really know how many plates I would go through. I'm sure I would pour more if I got some petri dishes or whatever but I'm holding off on spending anymore money on this until I get some fruits.

I know there's a lot of super cool people on this website. Like wearing sunglasses at night, wearing leather jackets and reassuring themselves of how cool they are sticking it to the man.
I'm a fucking nerd and what we do fascinantes me. I'm obsessed with the molecular lives that hold us together. I found a video on YouTube called "The Joys of Fungal Sex". The speaker is a mycology professor in Chicago and he goes into the process of karyogamy and all the cool shit fungi do.
I took this screenshot of something I found interesting. The mushroom will fill the basisiocarp with water and force water into a space that forces the nuclei and cytoplasm into the spores and then when the threshold is hit the spores shoot off the fungus and start their new life. When you take into consideration that the fastest living organism (in terms of acceleration) is a fungal spore I think this is pretty fucking cool. Don't like? That sucks, this is my thread
