I just found out you sent LC and Sheekle walkie talkies for Eclipse Gathering and didn’t send me one.
How dare you.

Who told you that Sara? It's close, but not right.
Actually what happened was Sheekle flew out and went to Eclipse with my wife and I. LC was cool enough to buy some walkie talkies and he mailed us one. It barley worked, but after a while we did end up meeting up by using the walkie talkies. We chilled by the lake a bit and then met back up another day to hang at the eclipse ceremony which was very memorable.
I've hung out with Sheekle a couple times before that and he is a cool guy to hangout with. My wife and I love Sheekle. We still text once in a while. Logical and his lady friend were nice too. I try to hang with Logic sometimes, but it's hard to make it work because of our distance. So close, but so far...
Actually Sara, when you said you and your friends were camping in California months ago I offered to drop off my kayaks and dirt bikes for you guys to use while you were here, but never heard anything back.
You guys should both come out to the Shroomery Mt. Shasta gathering this year. You both would have a blast!!! Even if you don't like finding delicious Morels and Porcini's there is much more to do like dirt biking, ice caves, lakes, mountain climbing, swimming holes with rope swings, volcanoes, waterfalls, shopping, lava tubes, fishing, shooting guns, and so on.
After the days activities we all meet around a big campfire and cook gourmet style food for each other and talk into the early morning. Literally the coolest people go out there and two years ago I think I counted like 70 people at the Saturday night fire. Big age range too, we brought our new born and there were people in their 70/80's too. Lots of old posters who stopped posting because of bad mods and other reasons.

That reminds me about Eclipse festival. I was eating LSD all week and then switched to mescaline and got dreamy and loopy. So loopy that I thought it was the last day of the festival so I packed up our site into the car and later that day we left. I was wrong and there was still at least 1 or 2 days left but my wife didn't say anything and Sheekle didn't say anything either I don't think. So we ended up leaving early because I thought it was a different day.
Actually turned out to be a good thing because traffic was bad, but we missed the Really Really bad traffic.
Do you guys remember that shitty traffic situation? Some people waited 24 hours to get in. We waited like half a day after driving half a day or more. Still can't wait for the next one!

LC offered me a walkie talkie and I insisted that I buy my own on my way up. Big mistake. I severely underestimated how little service there was up there. Never made contact with any shroomerites unfortunately.
Traffic was insane. Best festival ever though.

Some people seek forever what is right at their fingertips, and sometimes they touch it.
Othetimes, it's just a dream of contact, and soon new Eclipses rise, out of new Lunar phases.

Lol I’m just playin.
LC Sheekle and I were talking about the Eclipse Gathering last night on discord and they mentioned the walkers.
But ya, that sounds fun, we went to Mt Shasta back in September for my wife’s birthday. Beautiful place. When is it? Probably staying away from anything like that until COVID passes especially with all these recent spikes...
I’ve had the wook flu one too many times.

U take acid and drive? Not a good idea
Here in UK was a superclub called Gatecrasher in Sheffield once. To get there people had 3 options: drive, hire a bus, or catch a train.
Club was open 9pm - 6am. And guess what, some poor kids who chose the first otpion died in a car crash on their way back.
If u choose to drive have a sober designated drive or something ffs

I got lucky with the time I arrived.
IIRC I got there the 2nd night the gates were open. When we came through Prineville there was a 100-mile detour they had set up blocking all traffic from going directly to the location of the gathering and I almost flipped the fuck out since we were within 20 miles of the place and had been driving for like 700+ miles, but that detour came down right as we were coming through town so I think we lucked out and caught a break in the line of cars since most cars were out on that long 100-mile detour. (that's my theory at least)
From the point that we arrived in the line of cars to the point that we parked at camp was only about 3 to 4 hours. And the day we left, which was the day after the eclipse, we just drove out of the place there wasn't any line at all.
They were so un-prepared for the amount of people that showed up, we weren't camped anywhere near the main camping area that had actual "streets" laid out....we were placed in the overflow of the overflow, way the fuck out in the middle of that prairie, literally like damn near 2 miles away from the main festival area, it was about a 20 to 30 minute walk from our camp to the festival area. Trying to go back to camp from some parts of the festival would take almost 40 minutes...It fucking sucked. I didn't even feel like I was at a festival, just felt like I was camping in a grassy field stuck between trailers and RVs.
I recall I was planning on meeting up with LC one of the days at a specific time & place that I set up. I think LC actually showed up at the spot & time I told him I was going to be there but I wasn't able to make it...Combination of camping more than a mile away from the festival, the time on my phone not displaying correctly when I turned it on in the morning, being with some fam that were totally new to festivals/gathering and having to help them with things, and a whole bunch of other crap made it difficult to make it....I was kinda spread thin to, there were several different groups of people I was trying to meet up with while there.
That eclipse gathering was actually the worst, most stressful, most exhausting, and very much the most disappointing experience I've ever had at a festival/gathering out of the 12+ years that I've been "festival-ing" . (Tho I mostly go to smaller festi/gatherings with only 1000 to 5000 heads, Symbiosis is the biggest festival/gathering I usually go to and the Oregon Eclipse Gathering was tremendously bigger than any Symbiosis gathering I've been too.)
....Not saying the festival itself was bad, the festi was beautiful and there was tons of potential for a wonderful experience to be had while there, and the eclipse itself was a magical moment that I'll never forgot, but my own personal experience overall was not pleasant at all for various reasons. I haven't even looked at any pictures or videos of that festival since it's happened.
I can't believe they're actually still going on with the Eclipse Gathering down in South America next month .
On April 8th, 2024 there will be another total eclipse making its way across the mainland USA (coming up across Texas/the gulf states towards the north-east corner of the nation) ....I am pretty certain "they" (Global Eclipse gathering) will be holding an Eclipse gathering for that one too somewhere under the path of totality. Either way, that'll be a time & place for shroomerites to gather & meet.
It's gonna be lit .

I have tripped and drove and regretted it. On a 1/4 tab it's not too bad though. This time I was just about done tripping when we left, but didn't make it clear when I was typing. It wouldn't have mattered anyways because we were in bumper to bumper for a long while. Some people pulled over on the shoulder to continue the party since we weren't moving much and even seen some people fucking on the shoulder for everyone to see!

Sara, the Shroomery gathering near Shasta is Memorial Day weekend. Some people show up weeks early and stay weeks after. Not sure if it will be happening this year. Last year we showed up early and there were other Shoomerites to hang with that had the same idea of venturing out. It's been going on for probably a decade now so I'm sure it will be back in full force soon. I have confidence in the team that Biden made to take care of the Corona. Hopefully the Trump supporters wise up and don't ruin it for us.
OpenMind, I kind of agree about the festival. Once you were in it was great, but coming and going was not fun. The music also could have been better. The lake was fun and the people were great! The dust and heat were no fun at all.
