did you dunk and roll the cakes? why are the holes taped up, they look like they would like some more fresh air
the cakes also look really dry, I haven't ran cakes before, but from other pics yours look like all tight and the mushrooms seem like they are struggling

No Unfortunately not >.< got a bit ahead of my self..
yeah the holes are covered with micropore tape, thinking to keep out bugs and things ? should i maybe make more ? i also have 4 holes in top of tub that are big enough to stick a finger through and also covered with micropore..
So this may be me not dunking the cakes and then rolling verm for re hydration...
though this is my very first go at getting any mush to fruit so im glad i see some life
as for fresh air and the dunk though, would it be at all advisable to allow some of these pins and mush to finish and then pick them all off ? then dunk and roll with some more holes or just fanning
Thank you for the response

I'm out of my experience here so hopefully another cake guru can chime in.
I do know that for fruiting cakes, it looks like you got together a basterdized version of a shotgun fruiting chamber.
the chamber works by having a ton of holes (un taped) allowing for constant air exchange. Holes on all 6 sides of the chamber. Then you fill the bottom with 3 or 4 inches of pertlit soaked down to keep up your RH
elevate the chamber off the ground
the cakes need to be birth, dunked and rolled in verm. The verm is going to to help maintain humidity on the cakes. You'll need to monitor conditions of the tub and mist as needed ( not on a schedule, but visually when you see the cakes are getting dry)
If I were making cakes, I would start here
read thru that, there are pics of sgfc in there
some guys are bypassing the SGFC now tho and are fruiting their cakes in "humidity domes" same general concept, different means
another way to fruit cakes
Like I said, I'm giving advice from things I have read, not from practice. I would say pull the fruits you have, dunk/roll and fruit in a proper fruiting chamber. but please wait for confirmation from those experienced
