Agar straigh into jars

Hello,

I have a quick question. I'm about to make 20 small jars of agar. Question is, can i pour cold mix of water/agar/malt extract into my jars and just pressure sterilize them? Or I have to pour everything to a bottle, pressure sterilize it, and pour again into sterilized jars? Whats the difference? First option seams much easier to keep sterile.

You're talking no-pour agar vs hot-pour agar. They are two different methods and both have their benefits and drawbacks. There are definitely multiple threads around here on both so get to searching and find out which one works best for you.
