Reishi LC on Agar. What am I looking at?

I got both the ganoderma lucidum LC and pre-poured agar plates on Etsy (I'll try making my own plates next time). The agar is MEAC, and I inoculated on 10/26 in a SAB. I didn't have an inoculation loop at the time (I have since ordered one), so I accidentally squirted too much LC on the plates. They've were wrapped in parafilm and have been stored upside down in a cabinet at 70F-75F.
I've looked on the agar envy thread and searched for other examples of reishi on agar, but I haven't seen anything quite like what I have. Mine looks almost sulfur yellow (it shows up more yellow in person), and some have whisps of mycelium (contam?) where the LC did not touch the plate.
Could y'all take a look, and let me know if I should bin these and start over? Thank you!

That's not how mine look at all. In the first picture the white growth is mold. The yellow stuff could be chicken of the woods in best case scenario. Meaning it could be a miss label from the vendor. Have you tried contacting them?
That's a wild cloned ganoderma resinaceum.

From the looks of it the contaminant was in the LC, because the contam is so evenly spread among the culture, that it doesn't appear that a spore was introduced to the plate by bad procedure, which it would just grown from the areas it was introduced. (It's growing every place you put the LC) Ask for a new culture from the vendor before you waste more resources on it imo. Or get your money back and buy from a sponsor (Like Sporeworks), they are more reliable ime.

Thank you for sharing your example! Yeah when I was looking for examples of ganoderma on agar everyone else's looked very thick and white. I did see some yellow mycelium but that was when it was put into fruiting conditions. I'll contact them!

Thanks for your reply! Yeah I just started with putting things on agar, but I have like 40+ other plates that have various spore swabs and LCs from other people and none of them have gotten contaminated.
They did throw in a free brown beech LC, and it was purple! My first thought was contam, but then I thought oh maybe they used agar from a purple dyed plate... but now I'm thinking it's contaminated.
I'll contact them, and I'll order some Reishi LC from sporeworks. Thanks!

I don't know about the syringe but the white growth in those plates looks like mold. The yellow might be COTW but the clones I've made look more like dirty yellow-orange. Yours look kind of bright yellow.

That's nothing but a shit ton of mold, throw the plates and the syringes away

Lol it does. I used to keep a pet fuligo septica slime mold as a pet. Maybe I have new mystery petri dish pets.

Yeah in person it looks even more yellow. Like sulfur yellow. Like the color of hypholoma fasciculare fruiting bodies.

Yeah I gotta start over!!! I'm in contact with the vendor and he seems pretty nice and understanding, so that's good. I sent him the pictures of my agar plates and he was like wtf is that haha.
Thanks for your replies everyone!
