Lion's mane alcohol extract from liquid mycelial culture

Hi, never grown anything before and I'm looking for some input on a project I'd like to start. This will be a long post:
I'm basing this project off of this thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/MedicinalMycology/comments/buigy2/what_to_look_for_in_lions_mane_all_potentially/
In summary, the author claims that alcohol-soluble erinacines derived from mycelium have the strongest NGF effect (compared to water-soluble hericenones from the fruit body), and that the most effective way to cultivate these is to do an alcohol extract of a liquid mycelial culture. I've heard of this hypothesis before, and I have faith in it from what I've read so far.
So that's what I intend to do: make an alcohol extract of erinacines derived from a liquid culture of H. erinaceus, with the intent of producing an extract containing compounds which will induce NGF activity within the brain (and possibly other areas of the body).
I'm wondering if anybody has input on these subjects:
1) What are the strongest erinacines that I should focus on cultivating?
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5611583/ According to this paper: "Among the erinacines A to G, erinacine C showed the strongest induction of NGF synthesis." This line cites 'Compounds for dementia from Hericium erinaceus.' from Drug Future, but it would cost $50 to buy the article so I haven't done that.
My initial reaction is to try and recreate the medium used in this paper, to try and maximize the production of erinacine C.
2) What types of equipment should I invest in for this project?
Like I said, I've never grown anything before, so i am starting from scratch. I wonder what volume of vessel I should use for the liquid culture, what tools I would need to do the extract? Anything else I'm missing?
3) Would it be necessary to purify the liquid culture of all remaining growth media before the alcohol extraction?
My initial reaction is that probably isn't necessary - the growth medium in the paper uses oatmeal and Edamin K (whey protein), so I assume there wouldn't be any harm to the consumer if it was left in the solution. But would it cause any issue with the extraction process? I assume not.
4) What types of tests will I need to do to ensure the safety/efficacy of my product? Are they expensive?
I assume that I must do some kind of teste to 1) ensure that there are actually erinacines in the product, and 2) test for contamination or other potentially harmful things.
What would be the most cost-effective/simple way to go about testing? If I have to test things myself I'm done for.
5) What would the alcohol extraction process look like in this case?
I wonder if it's any more complicated than simply mixing the LC with a certain amount of alcohol...
6) Any other tips/considerations?
tl;dr I want to make an alcohol extract of lion's mane mycelial liquid culture and I don't know how to do it. tips?

Thanks! I posted it there and here as well; sorry for posting it in the wrong forum! I wasn't sure.
