Uncommon, IME.
I think it is the same as wisdom, in a way, if a more dulled down version perhaps?
Perhaps a tendency to not do foolish or unwise things often?

It will only destroy what you are not. --Jac O'keeffe

90% at least of all that we do is rote. not wrote as in preordained, but rote or reflex as in automatic response.
this comforts me because it know i can change myself by practicing new responses.
if i mess up (90% most likely) i can start again.
in this way i reincarnate myself and heal while screwing up some more

I like that you are so much better and greater and in a better positition than us and still honest about and saying that you screw up
as if you have put gear into a machine that you are and go better
going to better places
and because of like having put good things into oneself
it is comforting and encouraging of course
and happifying of course
now I get that it is about how what changes what to what as in getting a better time and worse but I still don't understand wether everything is perfect and such things it's the only thing I get

another thing is meditation

every time you think I want some benefit I want better things in my life you can meditate
it may take like 2000 hours to come to this place
but it is a lovely thing
and I'm not disputing or belittling the initial benefits
before about 2000 hours
but somewhere down the line you will have gotten so much benefit that you think oh I sit for extra benefit then good things will come to me
to my life
it is like taking psychedelics
it is like you sit back and watch the extra enhancement
it is like understanding that it is extra positive, positive good and leaning back into a more positive better movie/ride/time
it has to be experienced
still it is benefits
and it happens after like 2000 hours
it is nice to know that there is a garantie about being human or a fixed prospect by doing 2000 hours of a kind of work
but then of course you have to do the 2000 hours
and then we're back to the better ride/life/time
or 1500 hours
the best thing to do it is to do 2 x 45 minutes every day
redgreenvines got started much before I did when he was 13 with BOTH MEDITATION AND YOGA
this is extremely important
starting early
otherwise it is about gardening (routine) and getting closer to the middle way
and not abandoning
and sticking to it and sticktoitness
but after like 1500 hours it becomes like eating candy
that enhances your life quickly and utterly efficiently
even your life is somewhat candy like
we want it instantly but when we do 2 x 45 minutes a day it only takes 3 - 4 years

In spite of my generally negative outlook I do believe in Jerusalem, although it's a far cry from here, the possibility of it is comforting. And I believe in the origin of things.

indeed ...
Some might say that for the masses, that come home, from work, flip on the TV, and crack a beer---more like 99.99..% is rote.
Others might say being aware, is more important than what one does outwardly.
I doubt we get any brownie points, for clever opinions.
If the mindful rock climber, experiences a high on reaching the summit, will the junkie be impressed? Is the dopamine hit the same? Does awareness/ freedom have a different reward system?

Ferdinando, I think you make me out to be better than possible, so that can be dialed back a bit. If I were that good it would be amazing, but to be called that good and not really be any better than anyone else makes me feel uncomfortable, and you would not want to do that, so, please do not complement or praise me - it feels too weird.

Did this turn into another redgreenvines appreciation thread?
If so, that's fine. Probably better than the initial premise.
-------------------- “Strengthened by contemplation and study, I will not fear my passions like a coward. My body I will give to pleasures, to diversions that I’ve dreamed of, to the most daring erotic desires, to the lustful impulses of my blood, without any fear at all, for whenever I will— and I will have the will, strengthened as I’ll be with contemplation and study— at the crucial moments I’ll recover my spirit as was before: ascetic.”
